Instead of taking seat off etc to connect battery state reader , I just plug this in to my outside charger cable , it also reads if battery is charging while bike is running, great bit of kit , highly recommended

Really pleased with this piece of kit, I have mine permanently connected to my motorbike battery, tucked under the seat where I can see it when stopped. Continuous indication of battery charge status when engine off or continuous indication of charging success when bike either running or engine off but connected in series with optimate battery charger. I got this after my alternator failed but I had no idea so went out on the bike and broke down miles from home, if I had this I might have noticed the fault and got home before i was stranded (or not left home in the first place !).

Although the new version can show you the type of battery you have and based on that you can see the status of the battery. I would prefer the previous version where you can clearly see the status of the batter without the need to recall what the colour or the various batteries types and the status mean

As with all Optimate equipment the feel and fit perfectly and appear to built to last - the monitor flashes every 3 seconds to show the battery state of charge - also it it scans left to right the bank of multi-coloured LEDs when connected to a charger or when the motorcycles charging it when in motion.

Is as stated, checks charging by bikes electrical circuit and checks battery charge status.

Easy to use, light weight piece ok kit that l use to monitor my motorcycle battery.

Very good piece of kit. Saves time when you can just plug it in to your optimate lead and it tells you the state of the battery and also if the charging system is working when the engine is running.

Para evitar sustos, lo veo un accesorio imprescindible. Con solo levantar el asiento de la moto, sabes en todo momento el estado de carga de la batería. En caso de detectarla baja, tan solo tienes que conectarle el cargador

I have a new Airstream RV trailer and the control panel has a readout to tell me what the charge level my batteries are at. It's reported in volts and is very inaccurate. I get my best reading from a solar suitcase controller when I plug it solar into my batteries. However, I don't always need to plug my solar panels into my batteries so I purchased this nifty gadget to plug into the permanent SAE connection on my batteries that my solar charger usually uses. Amazingly, this little device seems to be rather accurate as compared to the readings I get from my solar controller. And it's ridiculously easy to read. One of four LED lights will flash indicating the charge lever. I suspect you can leave this plunged in all of the time, but that would be a tiny drain on the batteries. At any rate, I will trust the status of my batteries to this little gadget rather than the readings I get from my control panel (unless my RV is plugged into a power supply). If I things change, I will update this review.
