EVO Sustainable Goods 8" Plate, Set of Four, Red

Nice looking plates ..... but can’t get the green stickers off the center of the plate ! Who thought of that placement ? Really ! I’ve soaked it in oil for hours and the sticker won’t budge.

Bought these to replace our old blue speckled melamine plates in our camp gear. Almost a perfect color match, and just the right size. A little disappointed in the rough edges, however I scrubbed with a Brillo pad and they’re nice and smooth now.

The on machined edge of the plate has a compressed plastic lip that can be sharp and certainly not pleasant to handle. A little sanding would have been very easy to do at the Machine level on these plates and they did not do so. Also the mixture is inconsistent and is visible on the surface of the plate and just makes them look a little on the cheap side. They do however function for what I intended which is plates for the children but I probably would not order them again

The edges of these plates are not smooth. We need unbreakable dishes especially for our children and their friends. I just don’t want to serve them on plates with a potentially sharp rim.

I'm using this 8" plate as an easy-to-remove flat cover for a stainless steel canister in my sink for the compost. Doesn't show too much. And I won't be washing in DW or microwaving it. Seems perfect for this. The front finish is splotchy, unlike the polished photo, but I only need the back side, and food would cover the splotch anyway, if using for that.

The plates are light weight and a good size. Although they are supposed to be microwave safe, the microwave caused bumps to form on two plates. The plates are fairly new (received in late February) and haven’t been heavily used. We’ll see if continued use makes the size of the bumps to increase or more bumps to form. If so, I’ll have to trash them. I’m disappointed.

I originally bought just the small plates to see if we liked them. It took some getting used to, but we decided that we really liked them. So we eventually bought the bigger plates, two different sizes of bowls, and the large serving bowls. I love that they are lightweight and easy to stack. Only problem is you can't use a sharp knife on them. The knife will score the surface if pressed too hard.

I have to return four sets of these. Ordered 2 sets 8" pates and received 10" plates. So I ordered 2 more sets 8" and received two more sets of 10" plates.
