The Future: Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks' New Era

Tab is a phenomenal writer. Great behind the scenes stuff of the all the hype. Got my dad a book too and he loves it, highly recommend. Go Hawks!!

This was a fun, engaging read. I couldn’t put it down. Tab painted a picture that made me feel as if I was in the dressing room with the team at every turn. He didn’t shy away from tough subjects like following in the shadow of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane and the awkwardness of the Corey Perry situation—it’s a realistic picture of all that comes into play with the weight of a number one draft pick—the glamorous and not so glamorous. I enjoyed the different perspectives from Bedard’s teammates, opponents, the media , and the fans. Pictures were an added bonus!It’s a must have for any Blackhawks fan.

Tab really captures the spirit of the thing here. This book covers not only Bedard’s rookie season, but also goes into the period leading up to it. The reader gets a good sense for how highly motivated and talented Bedard is through Tab’s immersive style of writing.
