10mm straws are too large for kids and even for adults it's uncomfortable at first. Regarding paper build quality, it can retain it's solid structure for 15- 20 min in a drink and after that it starts to bend or get soft. In shakes if you use the straw to mix the blend, it will cause the paper to tear/unwrap quickly but still you will get a solid first 10- 15 minutes. So it's much reliable for one time use and can be used twice if careful. It doesn't have any weird smells or doesn't impart any noticeable taste to the drinks. I didn't test it with hot drinks. I paid about ₹180 for 100 straws of 10mm diameter.
