Carousel Horses Stained Glass Coloring Book (Dover Animal Coloring Books)

I bought a copy of this several years ago for myself. My granddaughter really liked it, so I gave it to her. In this printing of the book, the pictures are still lovely, but pages are much smaller. Cover not as sturdy. I'll still use it, but was disappointed by the changes.

These are superb reproductions of carousel horses, fun to color, and look lovely hung on a window. The paper is described as "translucent" ... which means it's not regular paper, but a special kind that is semi-opaque, so that it does in fact have a stained glass effect when held against the light or placed in sunny windows. It's especially good for watercolors, which themselves are translucent, so you really get a fabulous effect when you hang it in a window. Also, using watercolors at least (I can't say about other mediums), you can see the colors on both sides perfectly!

Stained-glass style pages. Each page is semi-transparent carousel horse. It's one horse per page. When you are finished you have a front and a reverse, like stained-glass. They are suitable from framing, but are especially neat if you put one hanging in the window.

This book is beautiful fun for coloring enthusiasts, horse lovers, and fairytale romantics. The pictures are boldly creative, inspiring dreams and imaginative colors. The paper is good quality and doesn't tear easily, so it lasts for parties and princesses to color and tape to windows. I have had to purchase several through the years for suc occasions, and I've not been disappointed with the value for the money... hours of entertainment and pleasure that can be shared.

I love he stain lass quality on this book. I have not try to use my water color pencils or market yet, but I will be soon.

There are lovely drawings in this coloring book, but they are printed on a vellum type of paper, and I don't think the pens my mother prefers to color with will work on the vellum. Wish I had read more reviews before ordering. That wasn't clear from the description.

Beautiful colouring book with many wonderful images to colour

There are 16 beautifully illustrated carousel horses to colour in the medium of your choice. This book is great for children or adults and the pages offer varying degrees of complexity. What I like best is that each illustration appears on a perforated page so it is easy to tear out and display without worrying about bleed through onto an illustration on the opposite side. The paper is translucent which allows your colours to shine through when placed on a window giving the stained glass effect.

日本では売っていないトレーシングペーパーのような紙質の塗り絵水性＆油性マーカーで塗るのがおススメです。少しダマになりますが…違う種類の塗り絵も欲しくなりました。

表紙のような馬ばかりです。かっこいいとおもいます。両面使いです。
