I love this little ice machine! It makes enough clean ice to put in a bigger container in the freezer. I always use distilled water in it just because it makes better tasting ice. This isn't an ice machine you just want to keep running for constant ice on demand for super long periods of time. I run mine just enough to fill my ice container. And clean every 75 hours of use with vinegar. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THE CLEANING TABLETS. I made the mistake of buying tablets when the ice machine's directions call for just vinegar. Great little ice maker tho. Portable enough for an RV, stays cold with decent ice sizes. And easy to use, you can even use the Govee phone app.

This has been a major upgrade from ice trays! When our freezer ice maker broke, we started using ice trays which wasn't a solution that was working well for us. We'd often forget to refill them and it takes a long time for them to freeze. We decided to look for a countertop ice maker and after doing some research this seemed to be the best option in our budget. We've been thrilled with it so far. I have it set on a schedule in the app to make ice twice a day when we need it most. If I have any leftover, I put it in a bin in the freezer. Since the ice is a little on the wet side it does freeze together, but it has been easy to break apart. It is easy to clean and has a large water capacity given it's small countertop size. Bullet ice does melt a little faster due to its shape, but since it quickly makes more this hasn't been a problem for us. The machine is not too loud either. Overall, this is a great ice maker!

The ice maker lives up to its promise of fast ice production and super easy setup. I had it running and making ice within minutes. The downside? It is louder then expected. The machine motor hums throughout operation, and each ice-making cycles begins with several loud beeps (once ice compartment is full). Beeps can be heard from upstairs (ice maker is downstairs). The machine allows you to choose between large, medium and small ice cubes, but honestly, there is not much noticeable difference between the sizes. At first, I used large setting, but because the ice compartment is small, I switched to the small size hoping to get more ice. it did not make much of a difference. The Ice compartment itself holds enough to fill about two 8-oz cups to the top, and since the ice is softer 'chewable' type, it melts fairly quickly once in your drink. One reviewer mentioned it is great for hosting parties, as ice is made quickly. I would have to disagree. With the small capacity of the ice compartment and how fast the ice melts, it struggles to keep up with more then 3-4 people at a time, if that. I have only used it indoors during the fall, but if you were outside by the pool or in warm weather, the ice melts even faster. In that setting, it probably would not keep up with more than 1-2 people. On the plus side, it is light weight and portable, so it is easy to move around wherever you need it. The ice compartment itself sits directly above the water reservoir, so as the ice melts it drips back into the water reservoir, and the machine keeps recycling. It works reliably if you want a steady supply of fresh ice, but if you are hoping to store a larger batch for later, this is not ideal. Overall: functional and quick, but louder than expected and less ice storage capacity than I would have hoped.

This product and brand is so excellent it can be rated above 5 starts in my opinion! I've owned a few ice makers of small class like this one. None of them can compare to the overall quality of GoveeLife products. My purchase, the Smart Ice Maker is simply amazing. This product's construction is very well engineered, great looking sleek, the App [I use Android] is a full service app that really is amazing as well including ice ready alerts, firmware updates for the operating systems, etc. Self cleaning is a breeze and the ice production speed is so fast! The actual ice stays longs due to the excellent freezing process. GoveeLife products impress me as I am a retired Electrical Engineer who really values well designed, well made products. This is one of my favorite purchases for App driven products ever!

A little underwhelmed by this machine. It says “full” after 3 batches of ice (about 25min) - a full bucket of ice fills two “rocks” style glasses. The ice isn’t hard and melts quickly in our drinks. It’s noisy and cannot be used in our kitchen, we have it hidden in our pantry and still hear the noise on the other side of the home. It’s difficult to fill and clean, the entire unit has to be moved near a drain to empty and the lid won’t open fully when on the counter under our top level cabinets. Pretty cool for $100 when you need ice. Our refrigerators ice maker can’t keep up with our families needs, so this is a good solution, but it could be better! Giant price difference between this unit and the “new” model they released.

I was really torn between 4 and 5 stars. I’m giving it 5 stars with a benefit of the doubt. This is our first ice maker. I have friends who own them, but that really doesn’t give me enough to make a comparison. I’ve purchased Govee products before and have been pleased every time. I’ll start with the positives: - The wifi compatibility and app is awesome! I can turn this thing on from work to start making ice to have ready for when I get home. That is beyond convenient! - The ice is what you would expect for a small countertop ice maker. It’s not crystal clear, hard ice, but no countertop ice maker makes such ice. That being said, when I fill my insulated water bottle, I’ll still have ice 18 hours later. I always keep it on large size and that’s just perfect. - It is quiet for something that runs off refrigerant. It’s not dead silent by any means, but I’ve heard louder. I have it tucked in on the other side of my fridge and it doesn’t bother us out in the living room. - UGG! COLOURED LIGHTS GOOD! ME LOVE FLASHY COLOURED LIGHTS! In all seriousness, having fully programmable lights is a neat little addition. It even makes a little conversation piece at house parties. Now, for the minor issue. When we received this package the brand box was inside of another larger box. There was minimal damage to the exterior box, but when I removed the original box there was somehow more damage, and in a different location that the minimal damage on the exterior box. Sure enough, when I removed the ice maker from its original box… dents. There was a dent on the bottom by the ventilation and another up on the top on the back, left. I’ve included photos of these dents fresh out the box. It seems as if the original box sustained these damages before being put in the larger box for shipping. If I knew for sure this was the case, then it would have been a 4 or even a 3 star review. However, I can’t confirm when it sustained damage. It also works fine, and although it sucks paying the amount of the cost to receive a damaged product, I’m basing my stars off of the product itself. Not Amazon or the shipping company. Hence, 5 stars. All in all, love it! Worth every penny, especially if you already have Govee products and the app set up.

I bought this model after looking at a variety of different sizes and models mainly because of its combination of size and features. After using it a few times I'm very happy with its ergonomics and performance. It just feels like a quality appliance. It makes three different sizes of ice bullets although I've just made the large size. I put the ice in the freezer and one tank of water makes enough ice to last four or five days in our house. I love not having to run to the gas station to buy and lug home bags of ice every week. This ice maker will pay for itself in less than six months. Initial startup was a breeze and it connected quickly and easily to my home WiFi network. I love getting notifications when the machine is full of ice or out of water and being able to see in the app the number of ice cubes made and the weight. It's also much quieter than I thought it would be after reading some reviews. The only negative and it has been mentioned in these reviews is that the ice scooper inside the machine is a bit weak and doesn't push all the ice into the ice tray and fills up on the backside causing a full try alert. But to me that's not important as I just have to empty it a bit sooner so it's no big deal. But highly recommended!

More quiet than past ice makers I've owned. Makes ice quickly. Makes a decent amount each dump. Best to bag made ice and keep it in freezer or it just melts and makes it over again. Wifi option is ok, but sometimes disconnects. Reconnect by simply putting phone closer to ice maker. Do not disturb feature is nice as you can set to be quiet over night.

I had a countertop ice maker that was working fine, but lacked self-cleaning mode. It was a pain to clean it and I was never too sure if it got cleaned good. So I switched to GoveeLife for two major reasons. Self-Cleaning mode and be able to schedule it so it doesn't produce ice in the middle of the night. I already have some Govee gadgets around the house so it was easy to add to the app I already have. For the other reviews that say it produces white ice cubes, it's because of the air in your tap water. If you use water from reverse osmosis (e.g. bottled water), it will produce solid clear ice cubes. I use water from a Brita jug and it's somewhere in the middle. You don't need the app to use the basic functions. Ice cube size, turn on/off, cleaning mode, etc. The major functions are available on the unit itself. However, you'll need the app to set the LED color, scheduling, do not disturb, etc. Speaking of "Do Not Disturb", it is a bit confusing. The manual tells you how to turn it on/off, but it doesn't tell you what it does! I don't find it noisy at all. There's just the standard hum of the compressor like a mini-bar fridge. Doesn't bother me one bit. 3 size of ice cubes to choose from, but I always pick the largest. I saw in other reviews that it produces 6 ice cubes instead of the advertised 9. What I observed is that for the first 2 rounds of ice, it will produce 6 ice cubes. They will be small as the unit is cooling down, but after that, it produces 9 ice cubes with each batch and the ice cubes will be of the proper size. So keep that in mind when turning it on from room temperature. When you receive it, make sure to leave it alone on the counter for a few hours to settle the refrigerant inside.

Absolutely love this ice machine! It’s incredibly convenient and works like a charm. The app is a game changer — while we were busy doing things around the house, it kept us updated when it needed more water or when the bin was full. It made it so easy to keep our freezer stocked with ice. Fast, efficient, and super user-friendly. Definitely a 5-star product!
