This is the cheapest per ounce, but far more packaging. Are the pouches recyclable?

When it to the environment, it is in this order : Reduce, Reuse,Recycle! You are already thinking of reducing the waste that comes with this purchase which makes me embarrassed that I didn't do so. I can't think of any way of reusing these bags. When it comes to recycling, at least one can recycle the cardboard box these small packs come in.

I work for my State's Department of Environmental Quality and can't imagine any where that they could be recycled since they are foil-like. They really can't be recycled like aluminum cans (very good since they can be recycled back into aluminum cans) or regular aluminum foil which often can't be recycled because of food contamination. Since the packaging is so thin, I would think that it would clog up recycling machines just like #2 plastic bags do unless there is a special machine that would do the recycling like with the bags. But there are a lot of plastic bags so that is why there is a dedicated way of recycling them. There are few things that are in the thin foil-like packages like these bags of Goldfish or the innerds of their paper bags. The Goldfish packaging most likely to be recycled are their large boxes with the finishing of a milk carton. I know that my municipality now recycles them, but even that is fairly new. In the future I will probably buy these crackers in those larger laminated boxes and put smaller amounts in a baggie. I usually use baggies until they wear out or get too grungy to keep reusing.

Does pouch mean 45 pouches or single?

45 individual pouches,  I bought for a classroom snack. The school likes everything prepackaged so that there is less chance of germs spreading.  They're also goid for lunch bags.
