Professional and very complete home hair removal kit
This is an excellent kit that includes everything you need to start waxing at home. The wax warmer works wonderfully, and the included wax beads (especially the ones for face and bikini area) are high quality and easy to apply. I love that it includes pre- and post-waxing oils, as they leave the skin very soft. It's an investment that saves a lot of money on salon visits. Highly recommended!

First time I could successfully wax myself
So this is the first time I have tried waxing myself in about 10 years-after the last microwave wax I tried didn't worked well and I ended up getting a nasty burn. But, before that I'd try a new type of wax every few years (NADs, Honey waxing, Microwave wax) and it would work poorly. So, for the last few years I get waxed at a salon and don't do it myself. But even with salons reopening with COVID, I didn't feel that it was safe to spend an extended period time so close to someone who has to spend her time close to a lot of people's faces in order to make a living-so I decided to try waxing myself again. After reading reviews online, I tried Kaluawax. Even after a few years of waxing I am a hairy girl (part Sicilian) and this worked. I liked that if you are new to waxing you can go over an area again (which I needed) and tutorials on the other famous blue wax brands webpage helped (apparently, like all other mammals, our hair grows in mostly a similar pattern and when you know that it's easier to tell which direction yours is growing and where to vary it for wax placement). It also took more time and more wax than expected (but this is due to my lack of skill). If you are new, buy extra wax (more than you think you will need)-you will need it! The pink works well everywhere. I loved the blue not just for bikini, but for knees and lower legs. I thought the face wax was only good for peach fuzz (I might try it next time on the back of my thigh). It is the only wax I did not finish as I do not think it's designed for most of the hair I wanted to remove. It did not remove my coarse facial hairs but the blue and pink wax both did. To do both full legs, half arms and bikini I went through the blue and pink in the sample, a second full bag of pink wax, a half of a full bag of the blue wax, a 4.2 ounce of another brand wax, and almost the entire 28.22 ounce bag of another brand wax. I am sure the amount is not entirely due to my level of hairiness and more because I'm still learning how to do it (otherwise I think if a salon had to use as much wax on me as I had to use they would lose money on me, lol). This wax is flexible and has an easy learning curve. And, unlike the other brand (where the learning curve was steeper), this worked pretty well before I watched the videos to improve the spreading technique ( when I was technically applying it incorrectly). Easy to remove parts that stick (due to user error of spreading too thin) with the post-wax which is mostly oil. I also used olive oil and just slathered and rubbed my legs (like they do at the salon) until all the wax pieces were gone. I wish the post-wax had more antiseptic ingredients for the bikini area to prevent folliculitis-due to this I probably will not repurchase the post -wax. The pre-wax was good, I used it let it dry and added baby powder before waxing. This is also the LEAST painful wax I've ever used (or had used on me-even though my regular waxer has great technique). Due to my lack of technique, funnily enough, the most sensitive areas were different than when professionally done. To Clean the machine, I Just slathered the whole thing in canola oil and rubbed it around to clean the wax strands that got stuck to it and it worked. The packaging is adorable and made me smile (even the refills come in a cute bag with cheeky sayings). I love the spreaders with the cute print and hibiscus; I wish they sold them separately. I also wish they sold an extra large spreader (I ended up also using tongue depressors).

A review from a male perspective
I'm a guy and I think is important to give my perspective too, since body hair may differ... So I am an amateur cyclist and remove body hair because it helps the healing process to don't have them, but I do remove body hair longer before cycling, because I think is more hygienic, but honestly I started because I had a girlfriend that hated body hair and took me to remove on my very first time. Anyway, given the background lets do the review, this unit is a really great deal for the price, it even comes with a few bags of beads for body, legs and face. But I have to make an observation here, those bags are meant for woman, if you are a guy, specially one on the bulkier side as me, even tho I'm just 5'9, that's not enough so always consider like double or even triple the amount if you are a guy, which leads me to another point, you will have to plan the removal in sections because you will need to refill and melt more than once and probably 1 bag won't even be enough for working on both legs for example. Because the wax is probably meant for women mostly, for the male with thicker hair, it won't be strong enough so make sure to put a generous layer, also make sure to have the hair long enough so the hair won't break and therefore takes longer to grow, or else you will find yourself reapplying more than once on the same area to remove the hair. Because I do this for a long time I don't have anywhere near as much body hair as I used to and for most parts the amount that comes on the bags is more than enough, but if you are relatively new to it, keep those things in mind. The wax for facial hair is really weak for beard and I would use the normal one for the beard and mustache areas, but it works great for eyebrow, hands and feet areas. Personally I started using IPL for face recently because no matter how many times you wax your face it will always be painful (like the chest that for me is my most painful area). However those are not the reason I'm giving a 4 stars instead 5, the reason i subtract one star is because I wish the silicon cup that goes inside and you use to melt the wax, had longer flaps, waxing is messy unless you are a professional, specially when you are doing by yourself and eventually will need to use your off-hand, which makes it even messier and this is something many may not adddress to, but them you will have some wax dripping or creating lines all around and because the flap is relatively short compared to the width of the device you will end up with some wax falling on the body and they will dry out by the time you finish, so your options are using a heat source like a hair blower to melt and scratch off the wax (and possibly damage the plastic body with heat) or scratch it cold (and also potentially damaging the plastic body with scratches). All in all I'm happy with the product and I save a lot of money doing it at home now.

Pleasantly surprised. Just buy it!
I was nervous buying a wax set online but I saw the good reviews and decided for what comes in the set it was worth a try. I have been getting my face and Brazilian wax done at a wax salon for about a year, but it was a pain in the butt to take the time to go in for an appointment, and it was EXPENSIVE. I was contemplating just doing laser hair removal but I thought I would try waxing at home myself first. I’m really glad I did. I started with my face and the face wax and at first I was frustrated because it wasn’t getting all the hair but then I read that it may not be hot enough or I’m not pushing down hard enough when applying the wax so I turned up the heat and applied firmer and it worked like magic! I did my full face with no issues and almost no clean up strips needed. My hair on my face is mostly blonde and fine but it grabbed everything on the first pass. Then I went on a waxing spree! I did the underarms which I’d never done before with the pink wax. Once I figured out the hair direction it was so easy to take out! I can’t believe how smooth and pretty the skin is now! No razor bumps, no shadow or stubble. Then I did my legs which I’d never done before with the pink wax and the bikini babe wax ( because I ran out of the pink, I used more than I thought I would but that will get better as I get better), again, magic once you get the temp figured out. Then I did the thing I was most afraid to try on my own, the Brazilian. This was the easiest Brazilian I’d ever had!! I used the bikini babe wax, made sure I had already exfoliated, dusted the baby powder on my skin like they did in the salon, and got to work. The wax didn’t stick to my skin AT ALL and pulled out all the hair on the first pass. Contrary to what I expected, it was so much easier doing it myself because I didn’t get the anxiety of waiting for someone else to rip it out, and I could do as big or as little sections as I wanted. My biggest tips for waxing anything- make sure you exfoliate and have clean dry skin, dust a fine coating of baby powder (or cornstarch) on your skin so the wax sticks to the hair and not the skin (I swear this was the saving grace on the Brazilian but wasn’t necessary for other parts of the body for me because those areas weren’t as sensitive or sweaty), make sure the wax is hot enough and you’re applying firmly, and when you pull, focus on exhaling really hard or cough while you pull and pull quick. It sounds stupid but it really does help with the pain because your brain is distracted by the action of breathing or coughing. By the time you feel it, it’s over. Make sure the wax doesn’t get too hard, you want it still pliable to make a “pull tab” and it won’t grab all the hair If it cools too much and you’ll think it isn’t working and get frustrated. Finally, be patient with getting the technique down. You’ll get stringy wax and drips sometimes, and wax left on the skin from being too thin until you figure it out. The hair coming out still hurts on some areas, but it doesn’t stick to the skin so the pain is so much less than you would think. Just buy it and try it!

BEST KIT EVER! (and I have used many!)
Warning, Long and thorough review...!! I am in my mid 40s and have been waxing most of my life and have used many methods and kits. This kit is by far the best! 1. YAY for women owned companies! This is a woman owned company and a fabulous product! 2. Super stoked I got the silicone warming bowl in my kit! I think that is one of the best things since Betty White! (I would say sliced bread, but Betty White has been around longer! :-) ) The silicone warming bowl fits perfectly inside the warmer, has NO SMELL, and is super easy to clean! It is also great for switching waxes because you just wait for the wax to cool and harden back up then you can pop it right out of the bowl and save it for later while you use the bowl for a different wax! I was worried I would get a metal bowl instead of the silicone one they mentioned so before my kit arrived I looked on their page here in Amazon as well as their website but did not find one to buy on its own. (you should do this KoluaWax!) so yes, extremely happy with that! 3. This is a COMPLETE started kit! I did not have to buy anything separately although I DID by a 1lb bag of the Blue color course hair beans because I knew I would be doing my legs. The bags it comes with are a great sample size! Plenty to get a good feel for the product and decided what works best where. The kit was packaged very nicely and securely in a sturdy box and even included a cute little Lai. Noteworthy point: even though the liquid items were well sealed, they were also packed in an upright position so no leaks in the box! :-) It came with plenty of varied size stick/wood spatulas to get you going, the 2 liquids, quick start guide, the waxes, and the warmer with pot and lid. 4. The warmer: It is between the size of a dessert plate and a dinner plate. The cord is a 3 PRONG (US) cord that is very thick and durable! The temperature adjustment is a dial that is quite sensitive so if you bump it check to ensure you did not change the temp of your wax. It is easy to use though and I love the digital display! It only took about 5 minutes or less to determine that (for me) about 165 degree Fahrenheit was perfect for waxing my arms with the blue wax. (more on that later) The warmer comes with a see through lid and you can cover it while warming which is great so I can walk away and not worry about my cats waxing their snoots shut!!! The outside of the warmer DOES heat up when in use so keep other items away from it. Even though the outside gets warm, I did not find it too hot to pick up and move (with both hands, while full and on max heat). I wouldn't hang onto it for too long though. It keeps the wax at the set temp the entire time you are using it, which is awesome! I hate having to turn a warmer on and off to try and keep a set temp. 5. The Prep and Hydrate liquids: As previously mentioned these are packaged and shipped very well! The clean and prep oil has a scent that immediately reminded me of that Sea Breeze facial astringent from the 80s and 90s that some of us are familiar with. Personally I liked it; those sensitive to smells may want to use it in a well ventilated area. The hydrate oil had virtually no smell. Both work very well and do not require you to use a lot in order to do their job. I did still have to do slight “picking” in one area where some wax residue was left behind from my first couple experiment runs, nothing major though. Neither product irritated my skin in any way, and I have very sensitive skin. (used on arms, doing legs tonight) The Hydrate oil is an actual oil similar to baby oil and such so I left it on while I did my clean up then about 15-20 minutes later I used a warm, damp cloth and lightly wiped to remove some of what was still there. I did not want to risk getting oil all in my bed. It works great though as my arms as super soft and hydrated this morning! I can’t stop touching them even as I type this review! Lol 6. The wax: So far I have only used the Blue wax pearls made for course hair. I used these because I was originally intending to do my legs last night but ended up doing my arms instead. This worked great on my arms even though the pink color general purpose would have probably been perfect as my arm hair is not course. I can tell the blue will work very well for my legs! The wax has very little smell, which I like because it is not lingering or over powering. I think it was said to be ocean breeze or something of the sort. Having such a faint scent it was hard to place it exactly but I think the name fits. It was certainly not a bad smell. As with all wax, you must be patient when warming. I followed the instructions by filling the pot with my desired amount, turning it on high till the pearls were half melted, then setting to a temp between 140 and 170 (Fahrenheit). As previously mentioned, 163-165 was perfect for my arms. I think for face or other sensitive areas a lower temp will be better, but no burns or heat rash on my sensitive skin so far! The product it super easy to work with! Least messy product I have used in my 20+ years of waxing! Any accidental stringing or drips were very easy to clean up, you just wait for them to dry a bit and pick them right up! This product is also the least “painful” I have ever used as well. I actually enjoy waxing and do not think it is painful per say, but in comparison to everything else I have used over the years, this one is by far the least “painful”. In Conclusion: This kit and the product is awesome and I am so happy I chose this one! The kit is outstanding for home use and I also believe it would be great for professional use. The price was really awesome! I have paid way more for just a warmer before! It is very easy to use for beginners and more experienced users alike! It is beautiful and their direct website has tons of information and video tutorials to assist you. I will never go back to any other kit or product!

It's okay
I've never waxed before, and the one thing that frustrated me the most with trying to pick a wax meter to buy, was that there were no before-after pics. So, I provided some for others in the same boat as me. First impressions, very easy to set up. Uses a lot of the bag of wax beads, for so little product. I'm using the one formulated for coarse hair. While my hair is especially coarse, it is very thick. (Side note: my hair grows in patchy on my legs. In some places, I have no hair, and in others, it's thick, dark, patches.) The beads have a pretty strong smell. It's not bad though. The spray kinda smells like some sort of herbal connotation. (Before I started, I did used the pre-wax oil) I did as the instructions said, and set the heat to the highest temp until it got about halfway melted and turned it down to the lowest setting (130). I got impatient waiting for it to go down though, so when it hit about 150 (though still completely melted) I used the popsicle stick and smoothed the wax on in the direction of my hair. It went in pretty smoothly. Kinda stringy. First pull (second to last picture) pulled off a pretty significant patch. Second got most of the right side that didn't get pulled off the first time. It hurts, of course it does. It's ripping hair out. But, it's not that bad, and it faded quickly. When I went in for a second dip of wax, I noticed that at 130, the wax had cooled too much, so I turned it back up to 150. The wax seems to cool quickly at lower temps. And, having tried it, the wax doesn't do anything if it's not the perfect temperature. It didn't pull off all the hair. I'm probably gonna have to go back in with a razer, but it did a majority of the work, which is nice. Less clogged razers to deal with. The third picture is right after, and the fourth is after about 10mins and using the post wax oil. My skin is sensitive to new products, so don't like the red bother you too much. It doesn't hurt at all. It's not even sore. It's been about 20-25 mins. The pores on my leg are still slightly bumpy, but that will most likely go away with repeated use. After about 20 mins, the wax was completely hard again. And the melter isn't hot at all. Even at the hottest temp, the outside barely warmed up. All in all... not bad. Not sure if it was worth almost $50, though. Good thing I used a gift card lmao

Great product, it really works!!
Buy this! I have mild pcos and have to get my chin waxed every month and this has completely replaced the expense and anxiety of having to go to ewc while also timing it correctly to get it all. Now I can wax whenever I need and this wax really works! All hair removed in one or two swipes if the hair is really stubborn or short but even then it gets it all. Super easy heat setup and use. I am impressed and will be using this from now on at the convenience of my home.

Get it!
This kit is amazingggg especially for the price. If you have been considering waxing your own body.. do it! It’s much easier than you think, and there’s even a little guide that comes in the kit with tips and instructions if you’re a beginner. The temperature of the warmer is accurate and melts quickly too. The silicone is very convenient for easy cleaning. I used the blue wax beads to wax my armpit hair which is coarse and thick because I have thick curly hair lol. It got every little hair AND long hair AND got them at the root too (preferable if you get ingrown hairs often like me). I used baby powder before waxing to completely dry the area and used the after wax spray it came with and it was wonderful. I completely recommend getting this and trying for yourself.
