8BitDo Bluetooth Retro Receiver for NGC, Wii and Windows, Compatible with Xbox Series Controller, Xbox One Bluetooth Controller, Switch Pro and PS5/PS4 Controller

Grabbed 2 because my children have pretty well run the old gamecube controllers into the ground. Using these I'm able to connect an xbox one controller and they can use that(each controller port will need it's own reciever for multiple controllers). They feel just as quick as corded controllers, no lag or anything and now I don't have to spend like mad for refurbished gamecube controllers or something. Another benefit is that while the kids are using wireless controllers it's far less likely the younger one will absentmindedly knock the console off the table by stepping on cords. When turning the console off they remain paired to the controllers I paired them to originally just fine so the kids won't need to fiddle with the pairing buttons or anything. Great buy especially if your kids are giving the old gamecube a workout.

It's awesome. I use this on my Wii. I have used PS4 duelshock 4 controllers to connect and my 8bitdo modded GameCube controllers. Both work perfect. Make sure you update the dongle prior to use on the system. Hold down the button and plug into the PC and use the 8bitdo firmware updater. The trigger is analog which is awesome! So super Mario sunshine works as it should. If there is latency I don't notice it. As I mainly play racing and car games. I have purchased 4 and have the whole family playing together. It keeps the connection to the remotes. 100% solid purchase especially for the Wii.

Worked wonderfully on my GameCube without issue and was able to pair with the 8bit snes controller !

I don't normally write reviews for products here but this one was good and useful that I had to. It works very well with my Launch Model Wii. Before plugging it in, I did end up going to 8bits website and having to update the firmware on it. I downloaded the Ultimate Software V2 on there website. The firmware was outdated on the product. If you're having issues with it, make sure it's updated. Also make sure there is firmware on it because I did see some people saying it shipped with no firmware on it. It did easily connect to my PS5 controller. The threshold triggers worked and was tested in Melee and Sunshine. My switch 1 pro controller also connected and worked well. I did do a latency test with my PS5 controller and a OEM Wired Gamecube controller and they essentially reacted at the same time I clicked. I did video record in slo mo for this and yes they reacted the same time so there isn't latency with the PS5 controller. I did not test other controllers for latency only PS5 controller. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the NSO Gamecube Controller still does not connect to this. I am hearing this may not be possible ever because of some internal Bluetooth Differences. Not sure how true that is but what is true is the NSO Gamecube Controller does not work as of now.

I bought this so that I could connect my 8bitdo ultimate controller to my Wii to play GameCube games on the Wii. It was easy to install/pair and worked almost perfectly. I experienced a little bit of lag, but it's incredible that this even worked so well in the first place. It was fantastic value for the money, considering I spent like $20 to use a controller I already owned to play on the Wii instead of buying a new GameCube controller. Highly recommend.

I paired this with the wireless board they sell on there website for the GameCube controllers and works like a dream. Made my broken controller brand new!

I’ve only been using it for a few minutes, but this thing works flawlessly. I’m using a Series X controller and it connects exactly the same way by hold both pairing buttons and waiting a few seconds. Once it’s paired, the controller will vibrate and that’s all there is to it! The entire reason I made this purchase is because I had bought a game for my GameCube and lost my Retro Fighters controller. The controllers I’m referring to are more expensive and cheap piles of **** compared to the Xbox controllers. Less expensive + better all around = one happy fella. So long story short, don’t bother with an original NGC controller or a third party controller if you already have one with Bluetooth. Just get this, it’s a massive upgrade. Worked great, but now as it connects, my controller just shuts off. Not sure what happened, but I’m back at square one. No bueno.

Plugged right into my Wii and Gamecube. Connected directly to my wireless 8BitDo Pro 2 controller. Press the sync bottom on both the receiver and the controller and you should connect without any issue. Make sure the Wii or Gamecube is powered on!

Works very well. Nice gamecube coloring. Easy simple and automatic operation once initially set up. Beat Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries fully using an Xbox controller so theres no issues with lag or anything.

Using this on a Wii to connect a Xbox controller. I know, heresy, but it works phenomenally. Pairing is fast and easy, does not lose signal or disconnects and if you want to revive your old GameCube or Wii without having to spend an arm and a leg on original controller, but you have some other wireless ones laying around that you like, this is a great solution. Highly recommended

Très facile d’utilisation. Il suffit de le brancher dans le port de la manette. Pas de soucis pour connecter les manettes 8bitdo, la Switch contrôler pro et les manettes Xbox et PS. Par contre je n’ai pas pu connecter une manette Hori.
