Works great to record onto a phone
Cable works, but beware of inexpensive action cameras that have say you need to use their microphone. I was hoping I could record sound right onto the video, but I have to use my phone to record audio.

Record in your airplane!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I use this to record with my Bose headset and it works perfect! Acts as a mini extension cord and is compatible with usb C iPhones or android!

Works for iPhone 16
The media could not be loaded. I have an iPhone 16, you have to turn on airplane mode before you record so that the iOS accepts the connection. Iphones can only have 1 microphone connected at a time, including the built in one in the phone. Airplane mode tricks it into thinking that’s what’s happening.

First one bought defective. Second, fine
Initially got a defect one. I couldn’t figure out why my audio sounded sketchy/scratchy. I had the cable replaced and then it worked. Again, it works fine now but I wouldn’t have thought a brand new cable would’ve been defective from jump. It caused me to think maybe my headphones were going out. Luckily, I tested different headsets and came to the conclusion before paying to send my headphones in for repair.

Works great but too short and price is too steep
The cable does work as advertised and the sound clarity is excellent. I also like that it connects directly to my Android phone's USBC port with no need for any other adapters.However, the price is quite steep and and the cable is only 6 ft long which is not enough to route it conveniently out of the way. I am a student pilot flying the Cessna Skycatcher 162. My phone on which I record my flights is usually mounted with a suction mount on the right visor. The visor somehow conveniently dampens the engine vibrations (I tried mounting it on the windshield, but then my phone picks up the vibrations from the cowling and the video is shaky). Tech support is very good - I contacted them with my issue, and they responded right away suggesting that I mount my phone on the left side of the windshield, but as I mentioned, that does not work for me because the video is too shaky, so it has to hang on the visor, and not left visor because then it would be in my way, since the visor has to be in the down position for the recording to work. So, It would be much better if the cable were about 10 ft long. If the cable was long enough, I would not mind the price because then it would be perfect.
