Q: Is the blind waterproof and suitable for use in the rain.

We have used ours in the rain ( not driving rain with strong winds as it blows it out too much). We always make sure it’s dry before putting it back in its holder

Q: Are all the kits supplied with a separate baseplate, for the post that is located on the patio? As per the bottom photo on the Amazon page.

As far as I'm aware yes they are. I've got 2 screens they both came with nameplates for the securing post.
