Love this light. Makes my aquarium feel more alive! It takes the ease off of me if I forget to turn it off, I don't have to, the 24 hour cycle is like the only thing I use. Unless company is over then I make it super bright. Love the quality for the price too. Looking at my LFS it was like twice the cost for something that was just a light. I can adjust the time of day to be whatever I want or change the color to be whatever I want. Worked great for my plants too, so good actually I had to trim some and get rid of the excess.

This light is awesome I luv that it changes colors and that it have a timer on it. The price is very very good compared to other stores prices way mucher higher.

Easy to use, I love the adjustability for different-sized tanks. Love the quality and light settings; great value for money. My plants are doing very well with this light.

It about killed me to spend 60 bucks on a fish tank that we inherited from our kid. But this is the best thing we've done. In 3 days the plants are standing up again and turning green!! I'm cheap let's that be know, lol. But this light has already changed the chi of the plants and also the fish. I watch em alot its soothing 2 me. Well our java loach, Jake D. Snake has always been crazy, swimming figure 8's at full throttle all night, (swims like I used to drive, lol.) But last night he was swimming in the wall of bubbles and stopped slowly skwiggled over and said " hey mon, what's a go'n on" to the Red Wags checked out their scene for a minute and slithered under his driftwood palace. The neons are electric blue and flashing everywhere. The best option on this light is the 24 hour day/night feature they're just like being in their natural surroundings with dawn, then daylight, bright noon, afternoon. But the really cool part is dusk to midnight, the lighting mimics it pretty well The plants are happier, and the fish now have a real day and night. It's 8:30 pm in fish land and they're all chilling.

I almost sent this light fixture back because like other reviews have said, it's dim. I didn't care for the lack of light and that it doesn't stay on day light for very long before it gradually goes into night mode. BUT THEN.... I noticed one day (a few months later) that my tank was free and clear of algae that had been covering my plants and all over the driftwood and all over the rocks. That bright green algae and some nasty black gray stuff all over the gravel. It was ALL GONE. My tank never looked better. In fact I skipped water change one week and my tank still looked good. I decided an algae free tank that stays incredibly clean was more important than super bright lighting that creates that very problem. I eventually got used to the dimmer light as well, it really does look more natural.

Overall, I'm mostly pleased with this lighting option, as it has made the tank which I've put it on more visually appealing. The brightness is much better than the florescent light which came with the tank. Its timer features were the selling point for me. However, one should take note of the extension brackets can be completely pulled out when extending them for use on a larger tank (60 inch or more). There should be a restriction of some sort to prevent this, but there is not. When fully extended, this lends itself to a degree of "flimsiness"; but overall this certainly will get the job done for lighting. I hope this helps someone...Ya'll Be Blessed!

I buy a lot of these as I have several aquariums and the lights are inexpensive, while providing enough illumination to show off the fish and help with plant growth. Be sure to choose the right length for your tank, though. I do find the units get rather hot on top but not on the bottom. My tanks have metal mesh covers instead of hoods, so the light bars sit on those.

It is very bright light, and it Is pretty sturdy? It goes all colors and goes from morning till night. Dimming light for sunset and sunrise, bright light for daytime shuts off at nighttime. It's a wonderful light.I highly recommend getting one

Very complex for seniors to operate, but a good buy.
