Is it snake oil?
After hearing that this same product was used by VW/Audi to deal with early generation EA888 sludge issues, I’ve gone back and forth about whether or not I would ever put this stuff in my own car. Well…I’ve got Honda J35 of the VCM vintage that also had a plugged PCV valve. Needless to say, the front bank was pretty rough under the valve covers. I wouldn’t say the engine was “sludged” by any stretch of the imagination though. In my opinion, based on all the (likely BG sponsored) testimonials showing the results, this kit should’ve made quick work of my engines issues. After following the directions to a tee…I can say that while this did clean my engine to a mild degree, it’s a far more complicated product than much less expensive competitor products, or heck, even ATF…and *maybe* effective. In other words, save your money. I’m very disappointed. Either I was shipped a knock off product or this stuff just doesn’t work like they say. My verdict: snake oil.

Good for cars with known piston rings or slugging issues
Using this in my 2015 volvo v60 with very well known issues with the pistion rings getting clogged. Car has a new motor in it, I'm using this as preventative maintenance, gonna use it every 30 to 40k. I'm also gonna be using MOA and EPR for every for every oil change too. Don't be surprised if you let the issue go on to long that you feel like you just throw away 300 bucks when you use this. Chemical intervention can only do so much, it isn't magic. Some motors with most definitely get to a point where this will do nothing for you, nothing on the market will, beside good ole elbow grease. They sell this stuff at every dealership, it's the real deal. Several companies like Volkswagen have service bulletins to use this in models with oiling burning issues. So that should tell what you need to know about the legitimacy of this product. PLUS, atleast when I bought this stuff this was like 30 dollars cheaper then the other vendor I saw on Amazon.
