Nest Learning Thermostat E 3rd Generation Bundle

It's a little time consuming to remove and install the new Nest thermostat along with the app. Once it was completed, it worked like a charm. I made a mistake by not setting up the app on both my phone and my wife's phone. I would leave for work and the thermostat would drop the winter temperature leaving the house a little colder than my wife wanted. Once the app was installed on her phone also, it was happy wife, happy life for me!

Can I leave a zero star review? Installed the product. No problems. Everything was set up perfectly. Then I went on vacation, leaving cat home with a cat sitter dropping in 2 times a day. The thing went crazy. Dropped the temp to 40degrees. To get it back up to temp, the cat sitter had to reinstall the softward twice! Craziness. I don't mind it thinking i am on vacation, but whem you turn the dial up and it refuses, that is insane!

I have a renovated 1923 house with new Heat pump (2 zones) and original boiler/radiators. Im 3 year out from the remodel and haven't used my radiators since, but miss the radiant heat they produce so I wanted to buy a Nest E thermostat to use. I have 2 nests E thermostat on the heat pump. I wrote a long write up on the 1st broken thermostat I purchased, but when this item came in...it was a simple 15 reinstall and program. This coupled with a best sensor have my house evenly warm. Im writting up a review on the sensor next.

Took me a while to figure out the wire configuration for my situation. But Once I got it - works great. I am only on a two wire hookup for oil baseboard heat. No problem with power tonthe unit. My only complaint is that I wish I could change temperature on all my zones (three) at once, instead of individually.

Works great, easy to install.

Very useful thermostat. I can not only adjust it from my bed, office or any other room, but can put it in the vacation mode and turn it back on remotely before I come back to get to the desired temperature house.

Product is terrible. Very difficult and time consuming to set up. Constant issues, reset whole process etc. Very over priced and underperforming device.

This product is awesome. It looks very nice for a Smart home thermostat, it has so many useful features, easy temperature control, very easy to use, the functionality is great, and I would say the price is perfect for a smart home thermostat.

Had a first generation unit and it worked great. That is no longer supported by Google so upgraded to third generation and it is working great. I can access it from anywhere as long as I have internet access. Would not be with out it.

Rechargeable battery was completely dead and required charging to operate (minor inconvenience). The Wifi did not connect out of the box, and after contacting google, they informed me that the warranty for this product serial number was activated in 2023 (2 to 3 years prior) and it was no longer covered. The support person said that it was likely a refurbished product. This was not indicated anywhere in the product description and opening the box and breaking the seal made me feel that this was a new item. Google offered a one time replacement after escalation (google support was good!). I am left with a bad impression of this seller. If you are selling a refurbished product, your customers should be aware.

1st one had issues, wouldnt connect to Nest APP - TD023 error, 2nd one worked fine
