Didn't Stick for Me
Wanted to name my Vibe Makana 100 kayak. It is a rotomolded, single-piece, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) hull. I lightly sanded the area where I was applying the lettering, and cleaned it thoroughly with de-natured alcohol. After it dried I followed the mini-directions in the Amazon listing to apply it. After the paper backing was removed and the lettering was afixed to the kayak hull, I gently lifted the transparent film and very slowly started pulling it off, expecting the lettering to remain behind. I immediately saw that the edge of the 1st letter was going to lift off as well as the transparent film. I stopped, took a flat edged piece of plastic and rubbed each letter onto the hull multiple times. I then started gently lifting the transparant film off the kayak, againg hoping the letters would stay behind, adhered to the kayak. No such luck. They were not even sticking a little bit. The lettering just lifted off with the transparent film. This might be good for a fiberglass or aluminum boat, but it is of no use on a rotomolded, single-piece, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) kayak hull. Very disappointing.

Need smooth surface
Bought a case for my lowrance elite 9. Thought a decal would add a nice touch. Case is slightly textured .I cleaned with alcohol-let dry! decal would not stick when trying to peel off front paper!! I used a thin pick to remove from paper while holding in place.stickers need a better adhesive. I then used a heat gun and pressed in place. We’ll see if it sticks or holds up 🤞🤞🤞company shipped same day! I’m sure a flat untextured surface would be a much easier install.
