Whatever your gender, if you don’t have SPF as part of your daily skincare routine then you have to start from right now - sun damage is takes the most toll on the skin if you didn’t already know that!If, like me, you have a favourite non-spf moisturiser then this daily shield from Elemis is amazing as you simply layer it on top.It’s not heavy at all and sinks in to the skin really easily. I have combination skin and to be honest it does make it look a little greasy but I think any SPF layer will do that. As a make user of this product I highly recommend it.

Mrs C has tested a great number of face creams. Some have been good, others very poor. This one is very good. The product uses natural based ingredients and is designed for Normal to Dry skin. The white cream is light and absorbs very quickly. Mrs. C has very sensitive skin and this product has not irritated it, in any way. It has created a more moisturised skin and has helped her face to resist the rather strong sun we have had recently. I have taken 1 star off as Mrs C does not like the smell. It is a bit too fruity. The tube will last a long time as you only need a small amount of the cream. Overall this is a nice product, which is very well made and works a treat. I am therefore happy to Highly Recommend the product.

This has gone down very well with my partner. It is a sun protector and designed to be applied over daily moisturiser. It can be used on its now. It is light and creamy and a small amount goes a long way.Elemis is a premium product so this is not a cheap item to purchase. But it has a luxury feel to it and offers a good level of protection. So all in all a lovely, if rather pricey, product.

Elemis products have always been some of my favourites so was delighted to get a chance to review their Daily Defence shield. I use this every morning either over a moisturiser or simply straight onto a clean face. Application is smooth and and a pea sized amount is quite enough to cover the face and neck. My face feels soft throughout the day and I will carry on using this during the winter months too as extra protection. Lovely product.

A girl friend reviewed this product for me:"This has been particularly useful, even though the year is sliding away from us. The sun is still strong and this cream is smooth, easy to rub on, and very effective. I play golf 3-4 times a week and I need to wear a strong sunscreen around my face, neck and arms. Usually, I come away with regular barrier cream with some sun damage, but not with this cream. It was excellent, smelt nice and I will buy some more as soon as I have used this one up, which, with the current weather, won't be long. Brilliant."

This product is recommended for use over your daily moisturiser and will offer sun protection factor 30. It would be recommended to wear this everyday to maximise protection from the sun at all times of the year. I used this underneath my foundation to ensure my skin had good protection from the sun whilst on a beach day in the sunshine on a pleasant summers day (not during the intense 33 degree temps we have had this summer I would add) and my skin was unburnt and fine at the end of the day. I have also used it on my 11 year daughter who burns very easily under her eyes the moment the sun appears. After a day on the beach and having topped this up once more we used this as a full factor 30 sun cream. Her skin remained unburnt at the end of the day- and she really noticed the cream was a pleasant and light lotion, which is quite different from the normal thicker sun creams we would regularly use on her. She really liked it. This is a great light, and easy to apply lotion and if you have no sun protection in your face cream it would be a handy addition to your beauty routine- but it worked equally well as a proper sun cream for my daughters face at the beach. It is also made by the well revered company Elemis who really know their skincare stuff. We both liked the product.
