Excellent
We are very strong, unbending Christians, and I know many Christians would reject this book for the pagan "Mother Earth" theme, but I appreciate it for many reasons. The illustrations are unbelievable, the colors are very emotive, the rhythm and rhyme are high quality and fun, the language is creative and descriptive, beautiful."Mother Earth" as personified in the book is very nurturing and sweet. I love how her nose is a tree, her curves are hills, etc. And she's always different! Autumn, the child, is playful and enjoys the sights, sounds, tastes, feelings, and smells of the season to the fullest, as does our family! This book is a wonderful Fall tradition in our home. Of course we discuss how actually believing that there is a "Mother Earth" contradicts our belief in an invisible Father in heaven who created all of nature. It's a good opportunity to discuss beliefs that differ from our own. But we celebrate the gifts of illustration, language, and imagination that God has bestowed on the creators of this book.

A great read for parents and kids alike!
This is an absolutely enchanting tale that is both fun to read and, if my kids are to be believed, a wonderful story to have read to them. Parents will relate to Mother Earth. Kids will love the wildness of Autumn. Great story!

Our new favorite!
I gave this book to my own wild child for her third birthday. It's now one of her favorites, and mine two. I am in love with the art, the wonderful descriptive words in the rhymes and pretty much everything about this book. I couldn't be more pleased and cannot wait to buy the rest of the set.

My wild children love it!
This is a fantastic book. My 3 and 5 year old boys ask for it every night. Very entertaining for them and an easy read at bedtime.

The illustrations and colors are beautiful and encourage a sense of imagination and wonder
My almost 3 year old loves hearing about the wild child getting ready for bed and loves the pictures. We read it almost every night before bed. The illustrations and colors are beautiful and encourage a sense of imagination and wonder.

Simply Wonderful!
I purchased this book on a whim and was more pleased than I could have ever imagined! The book Wild Child is a story of Mother Earth "going through the motions" of putting her child Autumn to bed: jammies, a snack, a blanket. The art work is purely amazing and leads to many discussions of the things we find in the pictures. And the ending...it brings a tear to my eye. I love this book and so do my wee ones!

A story to be loved by both parent and child
All I can say is I adore this book. We bring out seasonal books as the year goes on and this was one from our autumn collection and it is one of my all time favourite books. I'm just gutted that I haven't been able to source the ones for the other seasons.
