This was a gift for my daughter’s 8th birthday. She loves it. She goes back to it regularly. She just likes designing different outfits on the mannequins, she hasn’t actually tried sewing anything yet, but she will once she gets a school break I’m sure.

Everything was small. We just thought it was a little bigger. My daughter is 14 so she couldn't use the mannequins. The fabric was fine.

I was really surprised at how much fit into the case- with easy to follow instructions written so that a person of any age can understand them. I thought it would be fun to try and make some Barbie clothing for a friend's daughter and since I have never tried my hand at any kind of sewing like that, I thought this kit, especially since it contained smaller models (to put the clothing on as I make it), would be perfect for me. While this item does seemed designed for a younger individual, it still is working out great for me and what I intended to do with it. I haven't needed anything else but what is in this kit to design Barbie clothing- there is even sketch paper included so that I can design what I want to do, before I do it. Hands down, a great kit for younger fashionistas, I found, as an older individual, it does has use for me too! Plus, I have been able to keep all the materials in their case and well organized until I use them, another great boon to this item.
