As design friendly as it gets. Stylish but still at a value price, the Farrier lamp glows top and all the way around. Very nice addition to my standing desk and keeps the room feeling cozy. If you think you might need a therapy lamp, then I suggest exactly this. No cons and all pros. I purchased this for my mom who is 89 and has seasonal depression.My sister said it's really a good lamp, and she likes the features. Hope in time it helps my mom's moods. I plan on getting one for myself
