The Super Air Mover from Klarstein [Summer Vibe]
FIRST: It was great to see that this product was boxed very appropriately. The outer box was double-walled as was the inner box.SECONDLY: Each individual item was wrapped and placed in the box in a manner that minimised movement.THIRDLY: The feet of the stand clip into place on the base, not screwed.FOURTHLY: Without using the instructions, the fan was put together in 6.5 minutes. That is my comments on the pro's of this fan...now, what they refer to as the cons...I don't like the reference 'CONS' for this piece of equipment... Why? Well, there isn't any really. There is more a downside to this fan if anything. Most definitely, speed level 1 could be much, much slower. Its speed is, (in my opinion) the same as most fans on full speed and it can't be made any slower. It is noisy, (sounds a bit like a jet engine firing up in the distance.)As you can see from the included picture, I measured a sound level of 36dB on speed level 1.Klarstein show in the owners manual a sound level of 59.52 dB (A).I think my readings were around that level on top speed. Now, just to clarify... The fan was 6 feet away from where my head rests on my pillow, (measuring tape used). The Sound Meter was laid on my pillow out of the direct airflow so it would pick up only the sound being generated by the spinning blades and as you can see from the picture, [above] it isn't quiet enough to have a restful night. Don't get me wrong, for those very uncomfortable summer days and nights, you can leave it running when not in the bedroom and it will keep the room a lot cooler during the daylight hours as it adequately moves plenty of air. I did have an afternoon nap with it running and did manage to doze off for an hour but woke up feeling unrefreshed. So I put it down to my subconscious monitoring the fans noise whilst I was dozing which does not allow the brain to completely rest. So, you decide... Good or Bad?My final trial results are:Q: Is this fan worth it?A: Yes, just not for the bedroom or sleeping.Q: Is the fan sturdy?A: In general, Yes... but be a bit careful of the feet. They are medium-density plastic and as much as I trust them to an extent, they should be treated with care. For their purpose, they are adequate.Q: Does the fan move enough air to make a difference?A: Most definitely.Q: How easy is it to assemble from the box?A: It depends on who you are. Some people have a natural ability to assemble, others find it harder. There is a step-by-step guide, 9 steps with the numbered components in brackets but for those who require a bit more instruction, probably not the best. There is a well numbered, ordered, diagram, (picture above) and I've listed the components on the diagram... it may help you. If you look at the illustrated diagram and match the parts before you start then it should be very simple and straight forward.Q: Would you recommend this fan to other people?A: Yes... but I would re-direction them to my review and allow them to decide for themselves.

Easy to assemble with decent directional air movement, shame about 2nd's Euro plug
Update 3: I found the supplied, 3A fused, adapter plug for the two pin Euro-plug, but prefer a fitted UK plug, because it's simpler and more compact. The resonant motor noise doesn't seems to occur as often now, so maybe the motor just needs to 'wear-in' for many days, so I may improve my opinion of this fan.Update 2: The 2nd purchase also has to an annoying resonant motor noise, unlike my prior one, so I can no longer recommend buying this model...Update 1: My 2nd purchase annoyingly came with a 2 pin Euro-plug, unlike my 1st purchase , so I had to be cut off and a 3A fused UK Mains plug (the nearest I had for 55W). This is 'cheap' supplier behaviour, and would require extra cost for an fused adapter socket as-is, and may not be UK legal, due to no fused plug; an non-fused plug is only really safe used on a fused socket, like a shaver socket. The click assembled base is light, but stable, it looks a neat design, the fan head doesn't sag, the controls are easy to use and the noise is reasonable.I use stand fans to suck cooler (night time) outside air into a building, and blow hotter air out of a building; it is often counter productive to blow lots of hot air around or at people in a building during a hot day.

Good, sturdy fan
The assembly instructions were a bit poor - the diagrams were really tiny so I couldn't tell which piece was what, but I mean... It's a fan. Putting it together isn't exactly rocket science. It feels pretty sturdy and it's really quite powerful. I only really use the lowest setting and still get a good breeze from across the room. It's loud but not obnoxiously so. I can have it on during video calls or while watching stuff on my laptop without it causing any disruption.Overall, pretty good product. Would recommend.

Would buy again!
Incredibly quiet fan! With different speed settings. I find that even just the lowest makes my room cool enough to get a good night sleep on a hot night. The item doesn’t come with a remote or timer setting as it says in the description but that’s okay because I didn’t want that. Not only is it quiet and cool - it is chic looking too in black

Fabulous
These are great! Look good, very sturdy, good air flow. I have mine on all night, had no issues, keeps me cooler than the previous type of fan I had (similar but different make), and are easy to put together.

Sturdiest pedestal fan I have found.
Bought to replace some broken pedestal fans of various makes at church which have all failed structurally in various places. Looked at some others and they had similar weaknesses. This looked sturdy in the photo and also now in reality. It is fairly quiet, a slight buzz from the blades as well as the rush of air. Everyone pleased with it after two services, so I will buy some more. Assembly easy, except instructions omit to tell you fan nut has left hand thread. Took me several munutes turning the wrong way to remove it before I saw the instruction embossed in black on the black nut. 1.8m long cable.

Well made and stable at a fair price.
Well made, lightweight and produces a good air flow. However because of the 5 blades its hum is a little louder than another fan of similar size I already have. The airflow is also more focused but the oscillating mode is smooth and silent, some fans click in this mode. The only real let down is the shortness of the power cable which unless near a socket will need an extension cable.
