Victorinox C673 Straight Boning Knife

I have a pile of Wusthof knives that are expensive and feel good in the hand. This Victorinox knife doesn't feel as good but it is very functional.After a trip to Smithfield I had some boning to do, pork belly, pork shoulder and chickens. This knife worked well and kept its edge well enough.For the money it is a great buy. yes the Wusthof is better but I got 98% of the effect for 10% of the price. The curved model is also good

We have been gradually buying all Victorinox Fibrox knives as they are super sharp and feel good to use. I got this one as we were after a small knife to replace a cheap one we had and this was the same size blade and although it was called a boning knife it appeared the same as the other knife so purchased this. It arrived in very simple packaging (a sleeve) but we noticed the handle on this knife is thicker than the other Fibrox knives we already own. I am assuming this is down to it being a boning knife. This isn't an issue as it still has a nice grip to it.

Very good knives

Very sharp straight out of the package. I use it for preparation of various meats for my bbq and smoker and find it easy and safe to use because of its handle, I have large hands and this suits me fine. A couple of passes on my leather stropping block after use and its razor sharp again. Highly recommended for price and quality.

a good quality knife at a good price

This is very comfortable to hold and is very sharp, I use it for when I’m butchering a deer and it really does make the job easier - holds a sharp edge if you occasionally use a sharpening steel when using it.

It has a decent size handle to hold which is non slip, the blade is sharp and rigid what more do you want it cuts just like a knife . From other revoews it should outlast me but that might be due to an accident with it, it was excellent value.
