Okami: Zekkeiban (HD Remaster) [Japan Import]

Okami was a unique and excellent PS2 title as long as you had a lot of time to invest into it. It never supported motion controls until the wii release which improved the gameplay. The PS3 version supports the Move controller and is the best way to play hands down, in fact its one of the few titles worth getting a Move controller for . This is the best looking version of Okami and only available in japan on disc format so i had to import but it was a worthwhile investment. For those people who have never played Okami before it is an action game with RPG elements and a beautiful cell shaded art style, but to put it in a specific genre is an injustice to the game. You use calligraphy as your main weapon and to interact with the rich world to progress from one area to the next, complete side quests and unleash your godly powers such as turning day into night at a whim. The story is long and engrossing full of adult innuendos past the half way point like any good RPG but keeps its child like charm at the same time. It will take you between 30-50hrs to see all there is to see on one playthrough and i highly recommend this to anyone as it feels as fresh today as it did in 2006.

Okami remains for me the most enchanting and creative game, ideal for those of us who look for something other than endless fights. The HD version is even more vivid and fluid than the PS2 (which was already excellent).Most importantly, though, if you want English subtitles, don't pay extra for the Play Asia version to get them as this less expensive Japanese Import version also has the original subtitles - just click through the initial load screens and voilà!

Utterly gorgeous cult-classic game. Everything offered by the game is definitely worth the collector-standard pricing. From the authentic Japanese art visuals to the intertwined Chinese/Japanese mythological/zodiac references and then from the charming humour to battles galore, Okami is flawless.

I just love the art style. If I sit back and look anywhere on the screen I can just seen a game in which a lot of work was well spent

This is a great little game. The HD remaster make an already amazing game even better. I recommend it highly.
