Tala Flexible Cake Server

This is great for cutting and serving pie and cake. We had one for over 10 years and when it broke we were very happy to find we could buy another. The key is that the blade is thin enough to cut and flexible enough to get under a pie crust. A knife is still needed for many cuts in big or tough pies or cakes.

I bought this for its flexibility, it makes serving slices of pie, flan gateau or cake so simple because it flexes to slide neatly underneath.

Spatula

I have loved these spatulas my whole life. My mother had one which was so efficient at scraping every last vestige of cake mix from a bowl that I bought my own as soon as I left home which served me for about 20 years and then I replaced it after it broke. The replacement lasted me another twenty years and earlier this year I had to buy another replacement.This current replacement, bought on 8th February 2021 has been used a maximum of 10 times and today bent beyond redemption when scraping out a cake mix from a wide mixing bowl. Photos don't show adequately what happened but the metal blade will now certainly break if any pressure is brought to bear. I note that these are now made in China and I have to say that they are truly not fit for purpose. I cannot return it as my return window closed on March 8th and I can't find out why the product is only returnable for a month and I cannot get any help with a replacement free of charge and I am gutted. These have always been my favourite kitchen gadget and now, if the one I bought is anything to go by, they are rendered useless by being made from an inferior material that is not fit for purpose. So very, very saddened to have lost a truly great friend.

Just what I was looking for, flexible.

My mother (92!) has had these in the kitchen for as long as I can remember but used for flipping eggs etc in frying pan. I can’t live without mine and always pack 2 in my suitcase ( I live in Mexico) to give as useful gifts. They are loved!

Disappointed by the quality of this product. It's working pretty much as expected, but I've only tried it on cake thus far. A cold pie or biscuit base may be more challenging.Per the picture, this is poorly finished and not to the expected standard. I would expect this from a pound shop item and would return it if not for the inconvenience.

Have had one for many years which needed replacing.
