I recently purchased your product “Pro Ads Professional Fruit Vinegar Gel Based Hair Color – Natural Black Hair Dye Color (500 ml x 2)” (Batch No. PRODS09262025FV, Mfg. Date: 28/06/2025, Exp: 27/06/2028). The front of the box prominently highlights “Fruit Vinegar”, suggesting that the product contains some form of fruit vinegar or vinegar-based ingredients. However, after carefully checking the ingredients printed on the back of the packaging, there is no mention of any fruit vinegar, apple cider vinegar, acetic acid, or similar fruit-derived vinegar. The listed ingredients are mostly standard hair dye chemicals (P-Phenylenediamine, Resorcinol, m-Amino Phenol, Hydrogen Peroxide, etc.) and some seed oils/extracts — but no vinegar or fruit content. This gives the impression of misleading marketing, as I purchased this product expecting a vinegar-based or fruit-based formula. I kindly request you to: 1. Confirm whether the product actually contains any fruit vinegar or vinegar-derived ingredient. 2. Explain why “Fruit Vinegar” is prominently used on the label when it does not appear in the ingredients list. 3. Clarify how this complies with Indian cosmetic labeling and advertising regulations. If the product indeed contains no fruit vinegar, then the labeling appears misleading to consumers like me. In that case I request an appropriate resolution or refund. Please respond to this email within 7 working days. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I may be compelled to approach the National Consumer Helpline or relevant authorities for further action.
