German made all metal egg slicer. This thing looks like it will last forever, proper construction, thick wires with a good tension. See video, you could play it like a little harp! Very happy with this over numerous cheap ones where wires break very easily.

This is the best egg slice I have ever had. It is worth paying a bit more to get very good quality. The wires on the cheaper slicers bend out of shape. The wires with this one are alot thicker, and cut perfectly and cleanly.

Just what was expected from a German product. Best quality, very robust, will certainly last a lot longer than the plastic ones I have bought many times and they always go discoloured and rusty. Great on eggs and mushrooms. Very pleased with purchase. Would highly recommend.

Forget the cheap and nasty plastic egg slicers this one will last you for years. Our very similar previous slicer lasted over 30 years until the dishwasher got the better of it. We will hand wash this one !!

I got mine yesterday.. very well made & sturdy... it cuts mushrooms perfectly as well as eggs.. very happy with my purchase..

I was utterly fed up with buying and throwing away egg slicers that failed in their duty. I decided to go for this one, which has a cast body that will not bend and catch on the wires. It is incredibly robust, and my only criticism is that is not dishwasher proof, as aluminium and dishwashers do not go well together. Stainless steel, and it would have been PERFECT. Buy once, at a fairly high price, but never have to buy another, rather than repeatedly buying, and tossing, cheap ones.

I use it only for two tasks: cut eggs for salads (but need it maybe 5 times a year), can get nice tiny squares, not possible to get the same result with knife, and slicing mushrooms for stir-frys. It doesn't work with tomatoes unless you remove skin, potatoes are too big. It would be possible to use it for slicing strawberries but I don't need it. Overall an unnecessary kitchen gadget you can easily live without and £14 is too expensive from my point of view, but I still like it and use for fun. It's all metal and should last.

Endlich mal ein vernünftiger Eierschneider! Ich weiß nicht wie viele Eierschneider ich schon hatte, die auch relativ teuer waren, aber schnell im Müll gelandet sind. Die Drähte hatten sich verbogen, haben sich gelöst oder sind gerissen und die Verletzungsgefahr war groß! Dieser Westmark Eierschneider ist solide verarbeitet und sehr robust, für alle Eiergrößen geeignet und schneidet sauber in perfekte Scheiben... so wie es sein soll. Schade, dass ich ihn erst jetzt entdeckt habe! :-)

This is the Rolls Royce of egg/mushroom slicers. It is solid, sturdy, easy to use, and does what it is designed to do perfectly. I got tired of having to repeatedly buy inexpensive, plastic slices whose wires broke at the worst time. This cost more, but given how well it is constructed, I expect it will last for years.

I am sick and tired of buying the same flimsy tools over and over again for the kitchen. Even some well-known brands are offering sub par products these days. My last egg slicer, made of plastic, from a popular brand no less, did not survive its first encounter with strawberries. I understand not all egg slicers are sturdy enough to handle anything other than cooked eggs. But this Westmark metal slicer is truly outstanding. It is sturdy, the frame doesn't warp and the metal wires don't come loose! I vow to buy things that last to reduce wastage. Buy nice or buy twice!
