Product Description Ever tried the amazing benefits of air pruning? No? Well if you haven't and you grow in coco coir or soil then you should. As your plant grows, it sends out roots into the soil from the main tap root and as they reach the bottom or side of a pot they will start to circle it. Having taken a plant out of a pot you will have seen a mass of circling roots at the base. This clumping of roots is commonly known as a root bound plant and it can seriously reduce nutrient uptake. If a root makes contact with light and air, it will stop growing and this is known as air pruning. With the unique micro porous fabric that has been specially developed for the PLANT!T Dirt Pot, when your roots hit the side they will try to grow through the material and not circle around t. As the root grows through and reaches the air, it is pruned and stops growing. It will now focus on sending out many secondary roots from the pruned root. These secondary roots will then also grow through the pot and be pruned and the same thing happens again. Eventually you get a pot that is full of active roots with no circling. Stronger roots, better roots, more roots = a plant that will grow better and have better nutrient uptake. Due to its breathable nature, the media needs to be kept moist. If the media dries out then the fabric can come away from the media, thus leaving a space for water to drop down the sides and a dehydrated plant. For this reason, we recommend that you irrigate from the top with a PLANT!T Watering Ring or drippers. The plants have reinforced seams and strength-tested fabric, so they won't tear when supporting even the heaviest crop. perfect for slotting into the wife's fancy square planters
Bought it for the wife. The wife was really happy with the square shape, really convenient for successional planting where she plants spring bulbs in the square fabric pots, puts it in fancy ceramic decorative square pots, then whips it out when it is over and puts the hydrangea (which has also been planted into another square plantit pot) into the fancy pot... now says she wants more !

Good purchase shame about design of pole loops
I have used this to plant my purple sprouting broccoli specifically as there are loops for the canes to both support the plants as they get bigger and also to hang a bug/ bird net to protect my plants from pests. Unfortunately the design is such that the bamboo cane doesn’t fully go into the bottom loop which is closed at the bottom, mean the bamboo pole tends to flap around wildly in the wind.Otherwise I really like these fabric pots though they don’t look as nice as some other planters I like that they are made from recycled materials and are lightweight so I can move them about and it’s pretty impossible to overwater - which I’m prone to do as a very amateur gardener, I tend to care for my plants a little too much!

Of all the pots I have, this one wins hands down. The plants just grew away and all had same feed etc., so this air pruning is great. I have also washed one and it is ready to go again in a few weeks. Great container to have!!. Thank you.

very useful
I love this and very useful helps with the oxydation of the soil.. also makes it easy to move. I would always use over plastic from now on and this was a great price.

Great planter!
Great planter! Good quality and looks good!Shame that size info was not available up front.I ordered 26 l. This is 0.3m x 0.3m x 0.28m height.After some calculations my suspicion for the next sizes up is37l is 0.35 x 0.35 x 0.3 and 56 will be 0.4 x 0.4 x 0.35. Just ordered two more sizes and will see if that is correct.

Fantastic fabric grow bags
I really like how sturdy, strong and well made these grow bags are. They have a square base and lots of room for my growing plants. They are a great product for their price. It’s worth noting that once filled they do not hold their box shape but are more rounder but still look good. I haven’t used the external loops yet but will place canes in them when plants become longer. Their strong strap handles make them easy to move heavy grow bags around. Will buy more of them in the future.
