Screwfix and tool station could offer anything below £40 to get this job done.I needed to drill a 65mm hole through a concrete paving slab, so that I could increase the weight of a garden umbrella stand that kept blowing over.You can take the supplied ceramic tile cutter out. I used a 6mm masonry bit.This cutter worked really well . Slow drill speed and hammer drill function turned off. So pleased and the cutter isn't wrecked, I'm sure it could cut a few more holes.

I was cutting 7mm porcelain wall tiles and needed to drill 4 circular holes to route piping through. My expectations were low. What I did was first get some hardboard and cut it to the same size as my 60mm tile. Using a circular wood drill of the same dimension I then made a stencil. Having done that, placed it on my Black and Decker work bench (remember them), placed the stencil on top and with the use of two clamps to secure it. I then sprayed water on the bit as I drilled. . I managed to cut four beautiful holes, perfect for the pipes and taps to protrude from the tiles. Two of the holes were half holed on the edge, meaning I made two C holes on the top which connected with the C on the next tile, and the others only a CM from the edge. Using water to cool is essential. My bit still looks unused.

I'm happy with this tile hole cutter, only used it twice so far and it cut through the tiles very easy and leaves a nice clean hole

The pilot drill bit dies way to quickly even before the diamond outside part could touch the tile.The main issue is that the drill bit doesn't have diamond on it. This is a major design faultWorth getting one that has diamond on both in drill bit and the hole cutter
