Cooking oil strainer
This strainer fits well over a 5 gallon pail and includes lots of extra filters. For smaller jobs you could use a coffee filter. It does as advertised and at $32 is no bargain but works just fine.

Large size cone filter holder, stable so it won't tip, saves money in the kitchen
The size of this filter cone holder is large enough to filter practical amounts of liquids. Smaller ones just don't allow for much to be filtered, and can require a few cycles to filter a quart of liquid. This one will handle about a quart. Just be sure to filter the oil while it is still hot, or it will take much longer to pass through the filter. You can also place a glass bowl in the bottom or a large pot, to catch the filtered oil so it can be stored with a lid in the refrigerator. The filtered oil will remain good for weeks in the refrigerator at home, so if you don't fry things very often, ad want to reuse the oil to save money, this is wonderful to have. We see bacon grease in a container, then filter it all once a large amount is collected, so we can dip dry in it. Several batches of bacon great can be saved and filtered to fry just about anything in, including trend fried, wings, and most other foods that wouldn't be ruined by a little bacon flavor. I probably wouldn't try to make doughnuts in bacon grease, but been fat from frying ground beef works amazingly well for that, and can be filtered just as well with this setup. I'd recommend this one to anyone who actually cooks at home. Saving and reusing fats is very practical.

Very handy to filter bacon grease
The Deep Fryer Oil Filter Cone Holder Stand looks well-made and sturdy, with quality stainless steel construction. I haven’t used it yet, but I can tell it’s going to be perfect for filtering bacon grease. The included paper filters are a nice bonus, and the folding arms make it easy to store without taking up much space. I’m planning to use it to filter grease for homemade mayo, and it seems like it will do the job perfectly. It feels like a practical tool that will last a long time, whether for kitchen tasks or even syrup filtering down the road.

Not typical use but…
I did not use this product as Intended. I build a lot of sugar syrup like strawberry syrup, etc. and thought this would be a great way to strain the fruit out of the syrup after it infused. It did great. I just poured the warm syrup with the fruit on top and let it filter itself out. So much faster than the old way I was doing it. Super excited that I was able to try it this way and that it works so well. Although I didn’t use it for fryer oil, it did filter exactly what I needed and a lot faster than a strainer. I’d say if you had anything like that that needs to be filtered this would work for you too. Also, since the paper filters can be thrown away- when you’re dealing with sticky substances like syrup, that’s a bonus. Thanks for a nice product. Will be back to buy more replacement filters very soon.

So excited to use this holder for maple syrup
I cannot wait to use this in the spring for filtering maple syrup this year! The holder will be so nice, so that you place it on the top of a 5 gallon bucket, put the filter in and then pour the syrup in the filter while it is being held. No more 2 person pouring job and risking dropping the filter or burning yourself!

It’s huge! Works well, but definitely made for a professional/commercial kitchen.
The media could not be loaded. First, let me say that this deep fryer oil filter stand and filter worked beautifully. Not a crumb from the used oil made it through the filter. I was impressed! It will be an asset to any commercial kitchen. Now, I admit that I knew it would be too large for casual use with my home countertop deep fryer, but wow! So much bigger than I thought! It would be ideal for filtering oil after deep frying a turkey because that takes a large amount of oil. I plan to use it on a much smaller scale. I did come up with a one-person solution, though. I’d like it better if there were some kind of intermediate size because a funnel fitted with a standard coffee filter does not work nearly as well as the filter cones that come with this one! I’m keeping it and plan to continue to use it as needed, but I’ll probably recruit someone to help me get the filtered oil back into the jar. 😁
