The provided battery is a legitimate Sony one as far as I can tell. Same life, and looks visibly identical as the real one. The charger on the other hand is definitely not a fast charger - be prepared to leave the batteries overnight. For me this is OK but if you’re shooting a wedding and need quick charge, this won’t work. It will do ~500mA per battery with USB-A on an old iPhone brick, and ~1000mA per battery using a new 30W USB-C PD charger over usb-c. Anyhow, be prepared to wait a couple hours. It works perfectly, charging it to an honest 100% according to the camera - you just have to be patient.

Perfect little combo, cheaper than buying just the battery. its the original Sony Battery and charger does a great job charging it.

I love this charger and love that it can charge two batteries at once. The charge speed is quick and the size is good, making it compact for travel. Very easy to use--plug n play. I think this is overall very functional and a great camera accessory purchase.

I was nervous about this purchase. Buying a Sony Z battery on Amazon is an excellent way to get a knock-off product (including from Amazon directly due to shared binning). So the first thing I did upon receiving this product is check to make sure the Sony battery is genuine. It appears to be, and so far operates properly. Purchased from Focus Camera, I received the product described. I’d be quite careful, too, buying one, as clearly some have had issues (e.g. receiving a third party battery). The charger is decent. It’s nice to have something that charges two batteries, but it is slower than the Sony charger or direct charging via USB-C through the camera. I’ll see if it does better with a USB-C cable attached to a compatible charger as the provided solution works over a slower USB standard. Even then, this is a neat travel option, and it supports two batteries. Will update my review if I run into any problems.

I have been using Wasabi Power chargers for my Sony's camera needs. I had a A6000 and now I upgraded to an A7III. A7III original box does not come with an external battery charger. You will need to use the supplied USB cord and outlet to charge. There is nothing wrong in doing it this way, but for myself, I like to not use these type of inputs too often which can brake a few years from now. In addition, you can't really use your camera while you have to charge the battery. Wasabi Power offers a DUAL port for our NPFZ100 battery and I must say, it is amazing! For the price, you cannot beat it. Understandably, the charger does charge a little slower than the OEM Sony charger, but honestly...It Charges two batteries saves me time as well as I usually charge my batteries over night. batteries are ready to go the next day. I have been using the battery that is supplied with this package. I can say it is the OEM Sony battery which is AWESOME. I am not a fan of other 3rd parties as they tend to die a quicker. So far, the performance has been long lasting. I have not yet struggled with battery loosing juice earlier than expected. With this as my 2nd battery and the original one in the box as my primary... I can shoot non-stop all day. Love it. I have not yet tested the longevity of these batteries under any 4K recording nor any video recording. It has all been photography. Offical Sony battery in Sony packaging. Good. The chager quit after one charge. Junk.

The battery was a real Sony NP-Z100 battery, and it only cost $1 more to get the charger with it. It may not be the best charger, but it works. And you can charge two batteries, so while your filming you can charge the ones your not using so they are ready to go! There is a green light when battery is charged and red while it's charging, although it would be nice if they added a charging level indicator. I would recommend this, because you are essentially just paying $1 more dollar for a dual battery charger that works. It is charged by usb connection so you can easily charge on the go and plug into any usb plug (in the car, portable, laptop, wall, etc) which makes it easy to use anywhere! I'm not sure how fast batteries charge on the Sony brand charger, but it did charge the back up battery in the time it took me to kill the other battery. But as I said it would be nice to see the actual level of the battery on the charger. And I don't know how fast it charges in comparison.

Will only ever charge my battery to 92% max. They are brand new batteries.
