Two very similar products; three if you count a competitor
I have used 2 VERY SIMILAR Everlit products for wound care and there is very little EXTERNAL differences between these two products. This is the Everlit Equiflow. It is VERY SIMILAR to the MEDLINE Optilock in construction but in different sizes. The material that absorbs exudent is very similar; and the NONSTICK material used is slightly different. This is really a GREAT bandage if called for, built very similarly at about 1/3rd of the cost. This product is also VERY SIMILAR to the Everlit Super Absorbent set of products; which are similarly sized and the materials is nearly the same EXCEPT for the NONSTICK material; this product has a different type of nonstick material; in my opinion, not as good as what is on the Everlit Super Absorbent or Optilock both of which use a silk like non-stick material. the Equiflow material sticks a little bit more than the Super Absorbent version. The Equiflow is about 20% cheaper overall and is also a little bit thinner of a bandage, but not by much. I've used both, for the same wound, and I tend to prefer the cleaner lift-off of the Super Absorbent over the Equiflow just a little bit more. The Equiflow also has more layers of material, but to the layman, this is of zero consequence. The $4 or $5 I save on a package of 10 with the EQUIFLOW is not a concern; I like the non-stick material a bit more with this product. I am using the 6x6 size in both. The 5x5.5 size of the Optilock is slightly too small; Note: If you need this bandage or the other Everlit or Optilock; you should try all 3 unless you are budget strapped. Choose the one that is best sized for your wound; If my wound was "WET" all of the time, I'd choose this bandage over the Super Absorbent. The Doctor gave me Optilock's; 5x5.5; these 6x6 better cover the wound without abrading the new skin nearby. One thing I have noticed with all 3; I am not using tape, but compression socks to hold in place. The outer edges can wear on newly formed skin, so I use the slightly larger 6x6 size that the Everlits provide. It's NOT the $25 to $30 disparity in price that causes me to choose the Everlit 6x6; it's moving the 'wear edge' off from newly formed skin. Again, this is a very GOOD bandage; a 5 in my book; the Everlit Super Absorbent is slightly more expensive, and to me, a better choice; but I have used both. The Equiflow results in a slightly dryer wound; the Everlit Super Absorbent product, well, it lifts off better due to the silk like non-stick material. To be honest, early on, I randomly picked the Equiflow product, by mistake without realizing that there are two nearly identical Everlit products..

Large area coverage
Big coverage used with self stick wrap on a wound with drainage. Wide coverage is good. First dressing at bedtime, change around two am. Looking for something less pricy as this is a lot.

Catches a lot of liquid.
These are great. They are great to control the liquid that leaks out of the legs of heart patients whose legs are swollen.
