Spin Master Games, SolidRoots Escaping Extinction, Cooperative Strategy Board Game from The Makers of Mind The Gap, for Kids & Family, 1-4 Players, for Ages 12 & Up

It's hard to find something that everyone will put their tablets down to play... but this was it. I able to convince them to do it based on it looking like Catan. Game is farily straight forward and moves fairly fast. The earthquake cards mix up the tiles a few times so that the strategy doesnt get stale. Good game.

We love this game!!! My kids are 6, 8, and 11, and this game was just as enjoyable for them as for my husband and I! It’s hard to find games that are fun for us and the kids, and this one is it! Easy to learn and understand. Awesome instructional video! And the perfect amount of challenge and learnability. The quality is excellent. Great colors, durable pieces! We love it!

There is a major error in the rule book. The book says wood is for healing and vines are needed for the rocket and the help card says the opposite. The reference card is right, which might be the first time I've had to ignore the book in favor of the reference card.That said, this is a neat little lightweight game with a cool theme, though it's a little simplistic for my own tastes. The earthquake event, which shuffles the map tiles, feels a bit cumbersome, but is also a neat way to keep the exploration aspect fresh.The box says it's for ages 12+, but younger children could easily learn and enjoy this game when accompanied by an older player.

Easy to learn and play! Has become a great go to for quick solo fun. Rules are a little misleading but are videos to watch that clarify everything! Don't let the simple rules errors make you miss out on this one.

(Thief Game) One major flaw to this game is just how easy it is for the cop to win. If they are going for realism here, they have succeeded. Essentially, due to the cop cards being up at the beginning, it makes it nearly impossible for the theif to win. Why? Because all the cop needs to do is front load movements. I think this could work if we tweaked it a bit to make it harder and more competitive. I noticed the exploit as soon as I read the instructions.

Our family loves board games and this one is now our favorite co-op board game. If you like Forbidden Island or any other co-op board games, you’ll love this. There is more strategy and depth to this game than your normal cookie cutter game. It took a little bit to read through all the gameplay because there many variables, cards, assests, etc that you use to navigate the game. That being said, it all together creates for a great strategic game for the family. The pieces for the game are much higher quality than other board games out there too. The gameplay is recommended for 12+ in age, but our kids are 8 and 9 and were able to understand the basics and, as a team, we were able to guide through the game together. All in all, a well put together and high quality game for the family. Highly recommended

Love the concept and art! But there are issues with the rulebook and game pieces directly contradicting each other. We basically had to make up house-rules to make it playable. Maybe an edited version 2 will rock.
