Exactly what any driver needs when the Right Foot is incapacitated. Proper setup takes a bit of time but thereafter the driver is again mobile. You will not be disappointed.

My granddaughter has hemiparesis and is not able to use her right foot. This product is working well for us as she learns to drive. When she obtains her permanent license and buys a car, she will invest in a permanent solution, but for now this really works very well. The Velcro on the bottom of the plate is extremely aggressive. When removing it I would recommend lifting from the inside (center console) toward the door. If you do not do that, you will risk pulling the carpet out from under the trim by the door. It has become somewhat easier to remove with each placement. The installation was a little daunting for an old grandma and a teenage girl so we went to an automotive business. The owner wanted to check with his insurance company before installing to see if he would have any liability. He was not keen on the idea of something temporary like this. He was given an all clear by his insurance provider and got us all set up. You will want to check your clearance before purchasing. The left foot rest in my pick up is a little close but not a showstopper. Obviously if the left accelerator is too close to the brake, that would be a problem. She is looking forward to having her own vehicle with permanent equipment installed, but for now this is certainly working for us.

Edit: Since writing my review the company contacted me. They sent more nuts and bolts immediately. Problem fixed! This company has wonderful customer service. Would I make another purchase, Yes! Works perfectly! Nuts and bolts were missing. It wasn’t assembled all the way. The screws and bolts that were already in place are loose keep having to tighten them. I like it other than that.

When I got the pedal, the manual and instructions were torn and shredded and it was missing parts (2 nuts). All the parts were scattered in the box and the box was damaged.

When I saw the quality of this product, I was impressed, and I am a mechanic and harsh critic. Rare to give a 5 star rating to a product I had to return. It will probably work great for most people, with normal size feet. You must have a couple of inches of extra clearance above your left foot, in the automobile foot well. My size 14 feet and this devices just don't have enough overhead clearance in my gargantuan Chevy Suburban. I blame Chevy ! The website description says "portable" and I planned to move it between vehicles. But this requires tweaking from one car to another. I would say great for one car, and transferable to other may require adjustments. I was hoping for throw it in the car and go. Probably too much to expect. In summary, I have to give the product and company a great review, even though it didn't work for me. They took the open box back without any problems. Remember to check for foot room. The unit raises the floor 1-3 three inches. Consider buying 2 bolt in's for the same price and same quality, rather than swapping out this portable unit between cars.

I felt it was very easy to set up and adjust. I used it in my 2001 suburban and my 2017 Buick enclave. In the Buick, there is a foot rest under the park break, left side, which I removed. Very simple to do, two 10 mm nuts. after I had it in place, I put a piece of 2 inch tape on the carpet to mark where the base plate was , that way when I moved it in and out of different vehicles and knew exactly where to position it.
