Marvel Studios Avengers: Infinity War [DVD] [2018]

Avengers: Infinity War is the third film in the Avengers series but this time combining many other of the Marvel films series, including Guardians Of The Galaxy, Spiderman, Doctor Strange & Black Panther. The film has Thanos search for the 6 infinity stones, when he obtains them, he will have unlimited power and will be able to wipe out half the universe with the click of his fingers. Thanos believes that the universe is overpopulated and there are not enough resources for everyone, so if he wipes out half, he will be giving a better life for the other half. This is of course genocide and incredibly evil, but Thanos genuinly believes he is doing the right thing and will stop at nothing to achieve it. Thanos is an incredibly likeable villain, he is as ive said above, evil, but he is just so cool and even though he has featured in Marvel films before, this film is his time to shine and works as his origin story, this is essentially, Thanos the movie as he is the star of the show here. Thanos and his villianous team go out to try and retrieve the stones, but the heroes will do all they can to stop them, the way all the characters meet and the unlikely friendships and not so friendly meetings are really interesting and entertaining to watch. Avengers Infinity War is full of different emotion, it is hilarious, full of action and is entertaining throughout, but its also sad and shocking, there are character deaths and the ending cliffhanger will stun viewers and leave them speechless. A proper WTF moment, the ending has become a huge talking point for this movie and even though it does shock, it does leave an interesting cliffhanger which will lead into Part 2, which is out next year. Overall though as a standalone film, this is Thanos’s movie, he is an awesome character and also plenty other awesome characters appear and meet which is such a fun thing to watch, this is an outstanding Marvel film, keeping up their consistant quality of movies and starts the end of this series of Marvel movies and some of these characters and films fantastically, it is epic.

Kept my grandson entertained, he’s mad about this film

Excellent movie and features. A bit cheesed off with a small fault at a dramatic moment in the movie (*** SPOILER ALERT!! *** During an important, pivotal early character death scene! Grrrrrrr!). Switched to the version without the Director intro and was ok. Apart from that, thoroughly enjoyable Marvel product throughout! It's a shame the actors and characters have to age (as we ordinary mortals must) and not as their comic book counterparts. The first 10 years of Marvel Studios' movies are always superb and exceptionally well cast. Although you don't really notice any aging, growing up with the movies, as with close family and friends, it's not so noticeable at all. But eventually, these favourite actors will step down and move on to other projects; or characters would be killed off or enevitably replaced by younger actors. Such a shame. Because Marvel have beautifully encapsulated their Cinematic Universe so well to culminate in the 'Avengers: Infinity War' and upcoming 'Avengers 4'. It's a natural conclusion (without my giving anything away to other viewers yet to see 'Avengers: Infinity War'). With such a wonderful variety and diversity of Marvel Movie and TV product and characters, there is plenty to cheer on for everybody. There are new characters yet to be seen on the big and small screen. I look forward to discovering them too. Perhaps there could still be room for 'untold tales' of Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, et al set before the big Avengers movies?

Good film

The film: An outstanding culmination of the last ten years of Marvel films. It brings genuine dread, humour and suspense throughout. The opening scene with Thor, Loki and Hulk is pivotal, setting the tone for the rest of the film and creating a high stakes drama. I can't quite believe how they managed to pull off such a brilliant film with so many characters and so much history, but they couldn't have done it any better. The 4K UHD disc: The best way to see the film - brilliant clarity and colours viewed on a LG OLED TV. That said, the difference from the standard HD Blu-ray is not that great, so I am not sure the extra £12 (at time of review) is worth it. But for such a great film, you want the best picture if you can justify it.

Wir sehen, wie die Charaktere mit ihren eigenen Konflikten und Problemen zu kämpfen haben, während sie sich gegen Thanos und seine Schergen stellen. Aber es geht hier nicht nur um Action und Spezialeffekte. Der Film zeigt uns auch, wie wichtig Zusammenhalt, Opferbereitschaft und Mut sind, um gegen die größten Bedrohungen zu bestehen. Wir sehen, wie die Avengers bereit sind, alles zu geben, um das Universum zu retten, auch wenn es bedeutet, dass sie ihre eigenen Leben riskieren müssen. Darüber hinaus bietet der Film auch eine hervorragende Besetzung, die alle ihre Rollen auf eine Weise verkörpern, die den Charakteren gerecht wird. Von Robert Downey Jr. als Tony Stark bis hin zu Chris Evans als Captain America - jeder Schauspieler bringt seine einzigartige Interpretation der Charaktere ein und verleiht ihnen Tiefe und Persönlichkeit. Abschließend möchte ich sagen, dass Avengers Infinity War nicht nur ein Meisterwerk der Filmkunst ist, sondern auch ein wichtiger Beitrag zum Superhelden-Genre. I remember reading somewhere that while Star Wars had a new lease on life, that Avengers Infinity War was this generation's Empire Strikes Back. A sequel so valued for its ability to not only entertain but to shock and awe its audience. I'm happy to say that this movie is that and so much more. Ten years and eighteen movies have led up to what is now revealed as the adaptation of Marvel’s Infinity Gauntlet storyline. Without a doubt, this story was not just going to be explained as a single movie or even a trilogy but several films spanning several years as dozens of the actors from all these movies come together in this glorious epic. Starting from where Thor Ragnarok left off, the vessel that left Asgardian with Thor and his friends is attacked by the Mad Titan Thanos as his mission to obtain the Infinity Stones has begun and the rest of the Avengers prepare to fend off him and his minions on their planet and his. This movie’s cast is phenomenal as everyone from Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man to Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther come together as well as dozens more in between come together in a story of spectacular action and storytelling. Directed by the Russo Brothers from Captain America Winter Soldier and Civil War, the two men do Joss Whedon proud and deliver a great story. With a surprising ending to say the least. Truly the Empire Strikes Back of our generation. It's been said that heroes are only as good as their villain and James Brolin is an exceptional actor who brings to life Thanos with such realism that truly outdoes the cameos he made in the previous movies. Truly he gets to shine alongside such heroes because he delivers. Glad to own this on Blu-ray 4K but I got to say that either the Russo brothers didn’t take advantage of IMAX or it was decided against it with this movie. Such an epic and it deserved the IMAX feature on home video. Still, the features are fun, with behind the scenes footage and some neat deleted scenes. Great film and it's only the first half.

Me gusta mucho el universo cinematográfico de Marvel. La compra que hice de Infinity War en 4K fue excelente. Venís el disco Blu-ray, el disco en 4K y el código digital, lo cual es perfecto. La caja está en buenas condiciones y está bonita. En mi opinión por el disco Blu-ray, disco 4K y el código digital el precio es aceptable.
