Great read for anyone not just Christians

I’m not even finished with this book yet, but I felt like I needed to say something about it. Mere Christianity is not a light or fluffy read. It really makes you think. C.S. Lewis explains things in a very logical and straightforward way, which I appreciate. He talks about big topics like morality and faith in a way that feels honest and thoughtful, not pushy. There were a few parts I had to reread because they’re quite dense, but that’s also what makes it good. It challenges you. Even when I don’t fully understand something, I find myself thinking about it later in the day. If you’re looking for something simple and devotional, this might not be it. But if you want something that stretches your thinking and makes you reflect more deeply on what you believe, it’s definitely worth reading. I’ll update this once I finish it, but so far I’m really glad I started it.

What an incredible read. I’ve collected my thoughts at the end of each chapter and reflected on what it means to me. It’s enlightening, there’s no religion forced on you, this is a book that anyone can read to learn how to be a decent person and why you always were.

Every home should have one! Some of the pages may seem outdated from today's perspectives but the essential truths are eternal. This classic book will still stimulate the minds of Christians, agnostics, atheists and followers of other faiths and it is great to see it still in print.

He covers topics like right and wrong, core Christian beliefs, Christian conduct, and even introduces the doctrine of the Trinity in a way that’s surprisingly understandable. This isn’t really a one-sitting book, it’s best read in chunks so you can sit with the ideas being presented. I’m a Christian and have been for a long time, and I still found this book very helpful for explaining and defending the faith clearly and logically. Overall, it’s a great introduction to Christianity for both believers and those curious about the faith.
