I scoured Amazon to find a replacement for a Wenger watch that fell off my wrist while backpacking. I stumbled upon this Bertucci field watch and was sold. I'm very happy with it. It is just the right size for my wrist (not to large). It's made of quality materials and lightweight. I hardly know that I'm wearing it. It's a keeper!

For the watch itself: It's a compact, lightweight field watch. It doesn't get in your way and I like the smaller case diameter. 4 o'clock crown is nice from a comfort standpoint. Legibility is excellent but the lume is just okay. It's barely adequate in the dark. The case is an interesting reinforced resin which looks like it should be pretty strong. The crystal is mineral glass, but it's a bit soft. It scuffed a little bit after some bumps against desks. The case doesn't really have enough height to protect the crystal. I actually would prefer a harder mineral crystal or an acrylic crystal which is easy to buff out scratches from. Accuracy is fine. Plenty accurate for a standard quartz. It looks like this is running a standard Japanese Miyota quartz movement running off the usual SR626 battery. That means about 2-3 years of battery life. The lack of a date window is a plus for me and I don't miss it at all. I like the fixed lug design, but unfortunately Bertucci went with a 19mm (3/4") nylon strap instead of a more common 18mm or 20mm. The stock strap is good overall, but a bit too thick with a large fabric keeper that sticks out on the bottom of your wrist. The strange strap size reduces the amount of aftermarket straps that you can swap in, unfortunately. It's a perfectly good watch, especially in hot weather where a nylon band and lightweight come in handy. But I don't find myself wearing it that often anymore and I'm not sure I would pick it up if I had to do it all over again. I'd rather go for a cheaper digital or a nicer analog field watch.

very light, very accurate, not luminous very long, i have not pulled the back cover but it looks easy as there is a small area to place something like a heavy guitar pick to pry it off and change the battery. the fixed strap bars are great and facilitate easy strap changes and no chance of loss of the watch. easy to read dial

Stopped working six months

ok watch mostly, bit disappointed in the second hand missing the marks by a large margin though.

As a watch enthusiast, I have bought so many brands but I never found the perfect watch until now. This watch solved all the problems I’ve ever had with other brands. It’s extremely lightweight weight and having the crown offset means that the watch doesn’t interfere with the movement of your wrist. Brilliant! It’s tough and doesn’t scratch. I constantly bump my watch against all kinds of surfaces and I’m constantly amazed when I look for scratches and I don’t see any! The luminosity is also well thought out because other brands that have lighting wear the battery down and no one wants to change batteries every year. I simply run the watch under a bright light before bed and it remains lit enough to view the time when I wake up in the middle of the night. This watch is extremely quiet! I never understood why Timex watches are so loud. It’s a field watch and Bertucci got this right too! I can barely hear it tick when I put it up to my ear. The watch face is also exactly what I needed. The numbers are large enough to read easily and the 24 hour numbers are an important feature for me since I work with U.S. Navy personnel that always reference in 24 hour time. And finally I prefer watches where I can swap out bands easily because I have my favorites and enjoy changing them.

I've been wearing this for atleast a year now. No issues. I did scuff up the fancy composite around the face a little and was able to see the glass fibers just a bit.. but that was easily touched up with a black sharpie. Completely my fault (scrapped on concrete) and you can't even tell now.

I am very pleased with my Bertucci A-1R Field Comfort watch. It is very light on my wrist, a great size at 36mm and the dial is easy to read. I will use this watch for cycling and hiking.

Bertucci's enrty level piece...Its built well very light... One piece zulu Nato is very rugged indeed...True 36mm so is small... Legible dial but with poor lume... Push pull crown...easy to grip... Case design is unique....For a no fuss grab and go tough field watch its ok...Quartz movement....Unfortunately they do not hit the markers im guessing very cheap quartz movement.But bertucci do make tough watches ..like a say its entry level... Very comfy to wear easy to read at a glance.

El reloj en sí es modesto, resistente y eficaz, pero parece ser que el ofrecido en Amazon para esta versión con correa negra pertenece a un lote de segunda mano. Llegó muy sucio y con la correa oliendo mal, y con algunos defectos de soldadura. Lo devolví y compré la versión con correa verde, para evitar más de ese mismo lote.

Reloj muy ligero por el material de la caja buen textura de la correa un poco incomoda la trabilla ya que es del mismo material de la correa, pero esta abultada
