Shark Fin Style Antenna For Volkswagen VW Golf Jetta MK4

THIS IS A WARNING NOT A REVIEW! Look elsewhere for a replacement antenna! terribly cheap and actually damaged my vehicle.When installed there was no FM or AM reception in stations that I used on a daily basis before install. Thats not even the worst part. The antenna didnt seal properly because of poor construction so one of the tropical storms that just came through florida SOAKED the inside of my car leaving water stains and ruining my headliner.I then contacted the seller about the problem and all they did was place blame and deny. didnt offer any resolution or even try to understand.Normally when the product is bad I just dont leave a review. this was so bad I felt I needed to warn others about not only the TERRIBLE customer service (prompt responses were the only positive) but also the just plain Bad quality of this antenna.The guy at the dealership actually warned me that it was of cheap quality and he wouldnt put something like this on his own car. I didnt listen to his warning hence my agony. The antenna was installed professionally and I actually watched the guy install it. all the parts were used correctly and in the right place. when i took it back to the dealership the guy who installed it was empathetic but he also said "i told ya so" Please dont make the same mistake as i did.

its is a practical cheap add on, My VW oem antennas plastic all came off so it looked worn so I decided to buy this. I like it but I truly feel from my stock radio with this I got a better signal with OEM, I am getting a new after market Blaupunkt radio and hopefully the two work together, if not the radio has usb for ipod, phone ect. the bottom of the shark fin antenia has metal on it I am going to try and touch it to the metal of the car and hope my signal enhances. all in all 5 minutes to put in and Amazon has many great prices on many items I may not have purchased. Took awhile to get here but it seemed to work out yet didn't solve my problem and was tough to put on but for the price no complaints
