JBL Sansibar GREY 10 kg, Grey, fine substrate for freshwater and saltwater aquariums

The media could not be loaded.  So I had a problem with my tank that was causing my fish to die...so i took the decision to completely empty my tank. I opted for the sand gravel as i read its great for shrimp and bottom feeders. The sand gravel is really hard to clean. It took me 36 buckets to rinse it. My tank was a milky colour for 10 days, but it was a complete tank change, so it was to be expected. As hard as it is to rinse, I would do it all over again as it looks great! The food sits on the top too, so i can see the tank keeping clean for longer. I have a 110 litre tank and 10kg gave me about 2inches on the bottom.

From the excellent product to the prompt and easy delivery, I was very impressed when our 20KGs of Sansibar Rivar arrived with the courier. It was important to find a sand product that was recommended by the experts as I had little or no knowledge about what was needed in a new aquarium. It didn't take long to rinse, but it does require some effort to make sure the aquarium water doesn't cloud up. It took 4-6 goes to make the water run clear, but it was well worth the effort as the aquarium looked wonderful.The aquarium was a 110ltr tank and two bags (20kg) were exactly the amount needed to have the right substrate depth.See photos of the rinsing process and setup and final finish. I'm not new to having sand for my aquariums but this stuff was just impossible to rinse clear. No matter how many times I tried over and over to the point I gave up. I personally would avoid buying. Total waste of money. Ended up buying from another company and got white sand instead which rinsed clear pretty much straight away.

A nightmare to wash, washed it into double figures times, awful! I amshocked on how bad this was concidering its supposed to be prewashed. I have the exact same white version and i washed it once straight in the tank that was amazing. This isnt good Wouldnt use again. Also witb the light on doesnt look black its more lf a silver/grey.

My opinion is best sand in the market. Tried different ones always returned to this one as looks fantastic, quality best. Really recommend to buy.

Sand looks amazing in the tank, so clean and clear, needing very little rinsing before being used in the tank. Would highly recommend

Look great in tank. I would recommend. Just remember to rinse through before using.
