Very nice for the price!
I am a beginner, my husband and I took a 6 week introductory class, we now know the basics and play primarily skinny singles. We enjoy playing so much that we bought our own portable net so we can go to the local high school tennis courts, which have pickleball lines. For the class I bought an inexpensive paddle set through Amazon….didn’t want to spend a lot of money in case we didn’t enjoy playing! Once we decided we were hooked, we set out to find better paddles. There are several companies that have demo programs so we started with Gearbox. I have to admit they played much nicer than our inexpensive first paddles….but I am not ready to spend $200 for one! So we kept looking around, researching….then I stumbled on this Facebook post from PCKL looking for people to test their products, for free! Well sure, count me in!!! So I submitted the request, was approved….and shortly after I received a gift code to make the purchase….all went very smoothly and quickly. Now the best part: this is a really nice paddle! First of all, very cool looking….love the green color! It plays really nicely! Lightweight, comfortable grip, nice combination of power and control. I really feel that it’s easier to get the ball where I want it to go and need no more strength than with the more expensive paddles we tried! Nice sweet spot….one of my least favorite aspect of using my inexpensive paddles is when I hit beyond the sweet spot, you know that sound and that feel you get….well, with this paddle I hardly had this issue! They say that it’s not the paddle that makes the player….yeah, I get it, you have to have some skills….but I can tell you I feel I am a better player with this paddle! In conclusion, I think it’s a great beginner to intermediate paddle without breaking the bank! Of course I cannot speak to durability because I’ve had it for only a couple of weeks, but it feels and looks like very good quality to me! Thanks PCKL!

Great paddle for beginner to mid-level players
Like many others, I got caught up in the pickleball craze. And like many others, I started out with some cheap-o combo set with basic paddles and balls. As my game improved, I could tell that -- having played other paddle and racquet sports -- a better paddle would give me more control, feel, and spin than the basic paddles I was playing with. I wasn't ready to commit to the $100+ paddles I was seeing and so I focused my search on something more mid-level. This PCKL paddle hits all the right notes for me:1. Large sweet spot. The paddle's dimensions mean it isn't overly long and narrow, so while my reach my suffer slightly, I'm more likely to hit better balls given the larger sweet spot2. Good but not great spin. This isn't one of those paddles with the sandpaper-like faces, but I didn't feel like I was ready for that. The face is relatively smooth, but I can still hit a ball with a fair amount of spin, perfect for serves, slicing returns, and topspin-heavy drop shots3. Solid feel and control. As I've played more, I can "feel" the ball a lot more with this paddle as it makes contact with the face than with the cheaper paddles. This helps in the short game as you're trying to dink the ball over the net4. Looks. I really love the neon green of this paddle. It stands out and part of the fun of pickleball is the anti-tennis nature of it. Embrace the goofiness and brightness of the game.Overall, this was a great purchase for me and has really helped me improve my game over the past year. I'm feeling the itch for a new paddle in the near future and I'll definitely be looking at PCKL's upgraded paddles going forward.

A solid power oriented paddle for beginners
First & Initial ThoughtsA few things surprised me when i took the paddle out of the box. First is how light it was. I was anticipating something a tad bit heavier. Second, the feel of the paddle felt almost toy-like. Most of the time that would imply that the build or construction is cheap, but that’s not the case here. I think the reason that ‘toy-like’ came to mind was because of the weight. The vibrant colors probably played a role as well.FeelThe paddle feels good in hand. As stated before, the light weight of it deceives you into thinking that it’s cheaply made. The handle circumference was a little bit big for my liking. The grip was grippy, maybe a bit too on the gummy side for my taste.Power, 4/5.My main driver is more a control paddle than a power paddle. After playing with the Launch, I feel myself gravitating towards the feel and sound of a power paddle. Great audible pop.Control, 3.5/5The control, touches, and dinks aren’t bad - to me, it’s just not where it shines. It’s like most QBs in the NFL. A lot of them aren’t bad at running, but throwing is where they excel. It took me a few dinks to start forcing myself to go lighter on my touches. Because of the weight of the paddle, it felt effortless…almost too effortless to hit dinksSpin, 2/5I would say that spin is probably the biggest downside of this paddle - there’s not a lot of it. The face of the paddle doesn’t have any grit. In fact, i’s pretty smooth.Overall, I give the paddle a 4/5. The Launch is great for a beginner who’s testing the waters with power paddles. The weight makes it ideal for most people to be able to comfortably play with it for extended hours without getting tired from swinging. The downsides, for me:- the weight, I wish it were heavier- the lack of quality and consistent spin- the price isn’t ridiculous, but I think this paddle could fall closer the the $50 range.I would recommend this product for anyone who doesn’t want to break the bank, but still wants to buy a quality paddle.

Amazing First Paddle
Was my first Paddle after an really cheap one and it was the first time I noticed such a difference in paddles before. The sweet spot is amazing and it is all in all so forgiving. Great paddle for beginners and I still use it sometimes!!

Best Value Paddle You Can Buy - Especially for Beginners
Hands down the best paddle to start with as a beginner. You'll probably graduate from this paddle as you become more experienced. But there is no better paddle to start with. It has amazing control and feel. It's worth it.

Workmanship questionable
Purchased this paddle in December /23, , started using it in February, 2024 and something is rattling inside the paddle already, makes me wonder if the integrity of the paddle is degrading. I have owned a few other paddles and nothing like this ever happened, is there a warranty on this?

GOOD PADDLE BUT NO USA PICKLEBALL SEAL
I really like this paddle but my paddle came without the seal from USA pickleball so I cannot compete with it.
