Alpha Pro Series 45 Quart in Granite Bear Resistant Includes Accessories

I bought this cooler for a 5,000 mile camping trip that would last several weeks. I pre-cooled it as instructed, and filled it with over 30lbs of ice before I headed to South Dakota. It sat unopened for 3 days and when I opened it, I was shocked to find most of the ice melted. I contacted the seller and they suggested using blocks of ice, or filling a water bottle with water and freezing it...I was on a camping trip without a freezer so this wasn't an option. Once I got near Canada I stayed in a cabin with a refrigerator and froze the water bottle as well as a 2 liter bottle of water. These two things along with a new load of ice helped, but it still didn't last a week without the ice melting. I have an igloo that isn't fancy and it worked better than this cooler. All I can think of is that this cooler has some sort of flaw. The seller said I could return the cooler, but I was over 5,000 miles from home. I contacted the seller again about returning it now that I'm home but haven't had any response..

I'll update more later on. I'm now one week in with my new Siberian cooler. I'm very happy with it. The guys at work like it and several have stated they think it's better than their Yeti coolers.So far, it has held onto ice for 5 days while sitting in the bed of my truck and in direct sunlight. Most days have been sunny and near 80 degrees F.It's not a perfect setup but it is well worth the money. It's bigger and cheaper than a Yeti and I cannot see anything that makes it's quality less than a Yeti.I'll add more details later on.

Wish there were better accommodation for locks. Carry strap knots can pull through. Otherwise a simple nicely designed, super tough, cooler with excellent latches.

This cooler is the bomb! Held ice for days on the front of a houseboat in 100 degree temps.

I have 6 of these in our fleet for guided fishing trips they go out everyday with guides and clients or the past year and a half. They hold ice for 8 days..... I mean come on that’s ridiculous, I owned yetis bofore these and hands down better cooler, my favorite part is the latch system and the ruggedness of these beasts. Also a side not the crew at Siberian coolers are outstanding.
