Mid and high frequencies only
These are not bad sounding open ear buds, but they just lack bass. the high and mid frequencies are good though, but you do get a very bright sound signature. If you are listening to podcasts they sound perfect, as you don't need the low frequencies. They are very comfortable and almost disappear on your ears. you can hear all of your surrounding as well as the podcast. its a good mix and i can hear both very well

Good value, I just couldnt get on with them
These open ear headphones took some getting used to. I am a keen user of various earbuds and this is the first time I have used headphones like this that sit over the ear rather than in the ear canal. It took a while for me to find a fit with them where I could hear the sound as well as I could and where they were comfortable and stable around the ear. Once I did, they seemed pretty stable on the ears. The sound quality from these is not bad for the price. You do not get the richness of the sound you get from more expensive headphones but music and podcasts are perfectly listenable. The effect of sitting over the ear rather than in the ear canal meant that the sound was quite a lot quieter than in ear buds. Also using a decibel meter the amount of sound that was picked up from the open ear phones was lounder though only by about 5 decibels, compared to ear buds. This seems reasonable given the ear buds project in to the ear canal. You do have a much better sense of what is happening around you, though even many inexpensive models (though mre expensive than this model) have noise cancellation and alternatively the ability to inject outside sound into the mix.The microphone is OK and understandable. It was better than I had expected. There are touch controls for the basic functions. Overall these are quite good for the price and a definite alternative if you want a break from earbuds inside the ears. I have to confess, I didn’t enjoy the experience as much as I had hoped and the much quitter sound and the inability to have any form of noise cancellation frustrated me more than I had expected.
