Don’t believe the mask fit well on my face will be returning this

This mask and snorkel is a great setup. The mask seals well, doesn't fog much and has wide vision. The snorkel is just the right diameter for clearing out the water. By this I mean, when you skin dive, you occasionally dive down under water. When you come up, you simply blow the water out of the snorkel instead of having to turn it over and and drain it. Some snorkels are too wide in diameter so they're hard to clear; this one is just right. This set is highly recommended!

I have been in need of a mask and snorkel set both for skindiving and spearfishing in Baja, Mexico as well as swimming around in our local lakes and rivers in the summertime. I ordered this U.S. Divers set based on brand recognition (and trust) from many years ago when I used to SCUBA dive. I’m pleased to report that this set meets all my expectations with a few minor issues. I love the face fit and comfort and a quick inhale “stuck” the mask to my face so the seal is good. I like the snorkel-to-strap attachment which allows me to position the top of the snorkel above and toward the back of my head. The splash guard will help on those occasions where I need to look straight down and the snorkel is canted somewhat forward. Visibility is excellent and the clear silicone construction lets in plenty of light from the sides. I’m really not concerned about fogging since I’m from the old school where we just spit on the inner glass and wipe it around. Might sound nasty but it’s very effective. My two small complaints are as follows. The snorkel has a curve just below the mouthpiece to allow residual water to gather against the purge valve when properly worn on the left side of your head. All well and good, however, there is no option to wear the snorkel on the right side of your head. Not a deal breaker, but interesting. The other issue was in regard to the inner lip liner at the mouthpiece. You can see in the photo that, during packing, the lip liner got folded over and retained some of the curvature. That part of the lip liner rests up against my gums in a bit of an annoying way. I’m hoping that over the next week or so it will relax and revert to the original molded shape. If not, I might hit it lightly with a heat gun while bending it slightly outward. Finally, the price point ($15) is just flat excellent. Not perfect but a really solid mask/snorkel set that won’t break the bank.

This Cozumel DX snorkel mask is dual lens, coated anti-fog with black trim and a detachable snorkel. Outside the water, noticed no distortion, and underneath was clear visibility. Pretty nice 180° high-definition wide-angle view. Felt the mask seal right on, so fit the average sized adult female face. However, lacking in fitting youth, tried on 7 and 9 year old. Both faces were too narrow to create that tight seal. The snorkel itself has a top that keeps splashed water out. It’s really the mouthpiece that grosses me out when renting. I like the quality of the US divers brand, its well made and I have used US divers for my scuba gear. The mask has a nice flexible seal and the lenses are crystal clear. This mask is pretty small and didn't fit me at all, I feel it would fit a teen or kid better than an adult.
