How do I measure my son to know whether he would fit the toddler or child seat? Not sure which one to buy. He is 5.

As a former teacher, measure a chair your son is comfortable sitting in. Measure from the floor to the seat. That is the height where he is comfortable. My granddaughter, that I am raising, was 8 & in third grade last year. She is as tall as. Fifth grader. She outgrew her child chair so I ordered the teen chair for her for this year. The teen chair is only 18" not 20" as posted.

My students love these stools but they scuff up our floors. Do you know if there is anything I can purchase to help with that?
