Smart Lock C30, Keyless Entry Door Lock, Built-in WiFi, Black

If you're in the market for an extra-secure lock that you can open remotely, buy this one. Ease of setup: I have zero experience with home improvement type things - I’m normally a task-rabbit girlie. But I’m currently a bit poor, so had to suck it up and install it myself, and it truly was simple to do. If I can do it, any idiot can do it. Quality: It's good. I feel like you can't go wrong with a Eufy product. They may be a bit pricier than others, but they're always good quality. They look nice, feel nice, act nice, etc. Functionality: It works. One little plus is that it works even if the batteries are dead. I was out of town and needed someone to stop by my house. The app told me that the batteries had died and I was afraid the lock would stop working and they wouldn't be able to get in. I was pleasantly surprised that that was NOT the case! One (pretty obvious) thing to note: if you have a door that kind of sticks, make sure you shut it hard / all the way. This can't lock if the deadbolt isn’t lined up with the hole in the other side of the door. App: This can be controlled remotely from the app because the lock connects to wifi. I have another Eufy lock (one of the fancier ones with the fingerprint thing - which this one does NOT have) on my front door, and that one can only be unlocked with the app if you're close enough to it on bluetooth. Which is honestly so dumb, because if I was at home when I needed to open the door I'd just walk over and unlock it manually. This one however, is a major upgrade because I can unlock it from wherever I am! Game changing for if you need to let someone in while you're not home, but you don't want to give them your code. Just unlock it for them and then re-lock it when they leave!

The eufy Security Smart Lock C30 is an excellent smart lock with great build quality and a modern design. Installation was straightforward, and the app setup was quick and easy. The keyless entry is very convenient, and the lock responds quickly and works reliably. I also like being able to control and monitor the lock from my phone, which adds extra convenience and peace of mind. Overall, this is a high-quality smart lock that performs exactly as expected. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable keyless smart lock.

I installed these smart locks on the doors of several of my rental properties as the guests frequently complained about using the touch screen interface on my other Eufy smart locks. For a bare bones and extremely cheap smart lock, these are the absolute best smart locks I have ever used except that they require 4AA batteries and they chew up battery life incredibly quickly. I originally used Amazon branded batteries and they died within the first week of using the smart lock. I next tried Duracell Extreme batteries in one lock and Energizer's "longest lasting" batteries in another... Both experienced complete battery failure in under 6 weeks. The Duracell batteries were completely dead and the lock did not give a noticable warning (neither on the lock itself nor in the mobile app) to warn me of the imminent failure. The lock completely failed to operate even without the remote functions... Luckily I had the physical key in a lock box and I could enter the home through the garage as an other backup... If you purchase this lock, plan on changing batteries every 3-4 weeks, and please set up alternative ways of entering the home, especially for a rental property... At least the digital keypad Eufy locks allow for keypad operation even after the mobile/remote futures go off line. The digital face/keypad is extremely difficult to use, but the finger print reader works amazingly well as does the mobile/remote features.. With the digital Eufy lock, you get a rechargeable battery pack which gives off an extremely loud warning notice when the battery pack needs recharging, and which gives a great notice through the mobile app. With this lock chewing up batteries so quickly (without using a rechargeable battery pack) it is absolutely useless for my needs and I have already swapped these out for the older Kwikset smart locks without remote app ability as batteries last well over 12 months on those. I keep one entry way with a remote opening smart lock while keeping an older generation smart lock on the front door), as a means to ensure the best access for my tenants. I wanted to love this lock, but battery life is so bad, that I can't use it.. Everything else about the lock is absolutely amazing.

First off this lock, especially for the price is awesome. I love that the exterior buttons are physical press vs digital. The locking mechanics feel smooth, and being able to do it from an app with a simple drag is just awesome. It was fairly easy to install, with some caveats. Everything went on easy besides the interior plate. For the life of me I could not get the included screws to thread into the mounting plate. I ended up having to use my old lock screws + one that came with the kit to screw into my door to hold it. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be, but it works. Second, adding users is kind of weird. I wanted my wife to have access to the app so I invited her via email as it prompts you too. Well it isn’t as easy as just sending an email for access like I’m use to with Amazon products. We had to get the email, make an account with that email, send the invite again now that the account was active, and then go to the Apps inbox to accept the invite. Just seemed like more steps than usual. Very minor flaws though and not enough to knock it down any stars. It’s awesome being able to set up multiple codes for parents, in-laws, whoever. It’s great to be able to unlock my house from my car and just walk right in. If you have a “dumb” lock, you’ll enjoy this upgrade.

This eufy C30 lock was extremely easy to install and setup using the APP. It easily connected to BLUETOOTH and WiFi without fuss or problems. The Built-in WiFi is what prompted me to try this lock. It is very good. Anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, no-gimmicks, easy to setup and use, keyless lock should consider this one - the eufy C30. The APP was very easy to setup, understand it's functions and to use it to provide multiple access codes. I also had extremely good experience with their Customer Support. I had to move my lock from a RIGHT opening door to a LEFT opening door. I contacted Customer Support to ask how to reset the lock for the change in LOCK DIRECTION. The support assistant was extremely courteous & knowledgeable; provided the FIX over the phone, as well as by email, with a problem ticket number, in case I needed a follow-up call. I had no trouble at all following their instructions and the LOCK (eufy C30) and it's APP are working perfectly in it's new location. This lock provides what I need, from an easy-to-use keyless device. It is now installed on the side door of my garage.

I think it's an easy setup. Clean lines. They look good and the app works well. I have to give it a one-star ding because the battery life is pretty bad. It runs out very quickly and so you'll be changing batteries at least on a active house, probably once a month. Also the unlock mech takes some time to reel back the bolt. Would definitely buy again though for the price.

really like this smart lock. Installation was straightforward, and it’s very convenient to be able to lock and unlock the door without always needing a key. The design feels solid and the features work well. It has been a great upgrade for my home.

This is a mixed bag. I've had 2 of these for a little over a month now. One on the front door and one on the back door. Ironically, the back door sees more use and traffic than the front door. That said, the front door has already killed a set of batteries. I used a set when I first installed it and it was dead within 2 days. Thinking maybe I used not so fresh batteries, I installed another fresh set. We are not even at 6 weeks and those are dead. The back door still shows its at full battery life. So one works great and the other does not I guess. So take the reviews with a grain of salt on battery life because so far my results are 50/50. Other than that, Installation is easy if you have installed a door lock or two. Setup in app takes a second but works. Interface is pretty simple and straight forward, set up wifi. Firmware updates. Set up a few pass codes. And set your auto lock feature, etc. Overall im pleased with their quality. I wish there was a more straight forward answer on how to re-key them so I can get all my locks to match a set of keys. That hasn't been figured out yet, but I also havent had the time to look into it. But next I will be looking into replacing the battery hog.

Happy with lock, easy enough to install and appears to be secure. Functionality is let down as it doesn’t have HomeKit (not available on uk Eufy locks?) and the app shows up on Apple Watch to unlock gate but it refuses to unlock or lock the gate. Will lock through Alexa but you have to verbally give a code to unlock. Deducted 2 stars because of these two issues.

Update, the vendor has a great customer service and offered me a full refund given that the lock had the ongoing battery drain issues (see below). So I my 5 stars are for the vendor, I still recommend getting the lock with fingerprint that my neighbor uses without issues. I purchased this lock to get updates on when my kids get home and to be able to remote lock the door when they forget to lock after themselves. Unfortunately, this lock uses 4 AAA batteries per about two months which means the ongoing cost and environmental impact are not sustainable. The manufacturer has been very responsive in trying to help me with troubleshooting but nothing helped. They sent me a replacement lock, I installed a mesh WiFi directly above the lock (50 cm line of sight) and they even upgraded their firmware to deal with the battery drain but the overall drain remains the same. I live in Metro Vancouver so we don't have any extreme cold that could impact battery life. At this point, they recommended to stop using wifi connection to reduce the battery drain. So there's no improvement compared to having a key operated lock which I had before. My friends who recommended eufy locks have a different model and their batteries last for a year. So try another one but not this one.

A Must-Have Smart Door Lock! I'm a big fan of Eufy door locks and their security systems. I've installed the complete Eufy setup throughout my house, and I'm really impressed with how easy the door lock is to connect to Wi-Fi and control remotely, even when I'm away. It's convenient, reliable, and adds extra peace of mind. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their home security!
