Trash can bands make the flimsiest bags stay in place. Which means NO MORE reaching into your trash to retrieve a the trash bag, just to find out you need to wash the trash can now.. Trash can rubber bands secure 13 to 24 gallon bags. They makes a versatile tool for around the home. Made for the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, office and even the garage. They Keep Sleeping bags rolled up, storage boxes closed. I keep one in my tackle box. These are not just trashcan bands we use them on the kitty litter liners to keep them in place as well.

Everyone should own these - they work!
I purchased these when I decided to start using biodegradable trash bags, instead of my normal plastic hefty bags. I was trying to be eco-friendly, but quickly realized that these new bags had no handles, holders, or way of keeping the bag attached to the trash can, so basically they were a nightmare. Not for the environment, but a nightmare for me. Anyways, they would inevitably end up at the bottom of the trashcan, every day, with trash being thrown in on top of them instead of inside them that I of course then had to fish out and put into the trash. Ugh, so gross! I mean, this happens to regular trash bags that were designed to stay affixed to the top, not sure what I was thinking was going to hold them up.Any ways, I ordered these ...how should I describe them?? Umm, let's call them giant hair ties, shall we? And, and they worked AMAZING!! No more trash bags at the bottom of the trashcan. Never again!! Now, even when I use regular trash bags, I've continued to use my giant trash can hair ties. They're awesome and every household should have a couple. I'm telling you, you will not be disappointed.Only con, is that I've lost a few of them to the trash, when I've forgotten that they were on there, and when I gathered up the trash bag for disposal, they popped off and right into the trash. Oh well, definitely worth it. I absolutely HATED it when the trash bag fell into the trashcan and these make sure you will never experience that again.I highly recommend.

All 3 broke in a couple of weeks
I loved the concept of these since our trash bags want to fall into the can all of the time. We ordered these and received 3 bands. We used them on our kitchen and recycling cans and all 3 broke in a couple of weeks. These were used on small trash cans that fit into a pullout drawer. They have a metal connector that holds the two ends to make a loop. This is the weak point where they all broke. See pictures for an image of trash can size and an image of one broken band.

2 Broke on the First Day
These are more like thin long ponytail hair ties, not bands designed for durability on a kitchen trash can.Two of them broke day one. The ends of the cords are cinched and held together by a tiny metal brad. Both of the failed ties just popped out of the brad. So I gave the remaining tie a small squeeze with pliers, but I doubt it will hold much longer. I think I should have bought the big rubber band types or just made a heavy duty strap out of long rubber tie downs. Either way. Don't waste your hard earned American money.

Do the job
It’s so true that the little things make all the difference in making your life better. They sure do make life better. Trash bags but constantly dropping into the trash container and I would have to fish it out. Now I put on these bands the trash bags days exactly where it supposed to stay in when I’m throwing out heavy messy items I don’t have to worry about the bad collapsing in on itselfThese bands are a great improvement in my every day life

Snapped unexpectedly - dangerous
These at first worked great. However within 35 days of arrival, two have come apart at the joiner clip while I was changing bags. Bad enough that they failed, but the failures were both violent and could have resulted in an eye injury. Be careful with these. They are held together with a metal clip similar to those used on lamp pull chains. When it breaks, that clip is loosed at very high speed. I suggest recalling these.

Works as advertised
I like these rubber bands as they hold trash bags in place, inside the trash container. Sometimes, when a heavier object (like a bottle) is thrown in the trash container it collapses the trash bag inside the container. These bands prevent that from happening. Also, the bands make it easier to compact trash inside the container making room for more trash. To me, they just make depositing trash in the container easier - with no muss or fuss.

Didn’t last long
Loved these when they first arrived. I had one similar to this that I bought at the dollar store years ago, but we accidentally threw it away. Fits perfectly to secure my 13 gallon bags from falling into the trash can. However, it broke after a month of use. I tightened the clip that holds the band together on the second one. We shall see if this ones holds. I hope so.

Won't stay on the can
Step 1 Shake the new liner open and put it inside the can. Step 2 put the band around the top of the can. Step 3 push down in the middle of the bag to open it. Step 4 pick the band up off the floor. The durability and sturdiness were actually quite good but there was no rating available regarding if the product actually works. So I gave lower ratings in those areas to make my point. The bands are covered in a smooth stretchable nylon-like covering which I think does make them more slippery and have less grip.I finally put something inside my trash can to prevent the full trash bag from sinking too low, no band needed.
