Only needed 4 holes to drill, worked well. Probably the same cost to rent one, but now I have another tool in the drawer.

This item does not have three modes, it only has two: drilling and hammer drilling. It does not have the chiseling mode.

This drill is amazing! I struggled with the thought of buying an off brand hammer drill. This thing is amazing. If you’re already bought into the makita system, then you know an sds runs about 300+. This guy right here accepts makita batteries, no problem. It is hefty and feels well made. No rattling, no loose parts. This bad boy feels like a real makita. Now, I don’t use hammer drills all the time. If your livelihood depends on it, then maybe you buy a real makita. However, for the occasional odds and ends project, this will do the job and more. I used it to install a radon sump cover to concrete. Also used it to drill concrete for anchors for a privacy fence. We’ll see if it lasts long, but for right now, it’s a great product at a great price.
