I'll admit, I had my doubts. Just looked too cute to be true in the pictures; thought "This has too look cheap, be cheaply made, be weird", on and on. And I was sooo wrong! The WEIGEDU eww-ah-eww (monkey sounds, ya'know) delivers in every way - Seriously cute and simple design. Soft and plush fabrics, very snugglable . Well-stitched in the classic loose-limbed ragdoll fashion. Has a tail, so a real monkey! The little fellow came squoozed into an embryonic ball, vacuum-bagged, bringing more worries of permanent distortion, but nope. a good shake and squeeze and fluffing and good to go. The monkey plush, really a doll, given it's 12-inch height and fullness, is bright and soft, with clear features of hands and feet and ears. Eyes are sewn, not buttons, so no small parts to come off and be swallowed. The face... there's a certain underlying sadness to childhood, there is. The old storytellers knew this, Walt knew this and expressed it in his original films, poets and artists know this, and our monkey here shows it. Something in the eyes, something ineffable put present. This is not a negative; if anything, this touch of poignancy adds an emotional core to the doll that will make a child's connection to it stronger, more felt. You're narrowing your eyes, but you know what I mean, and you know that I'm right. This is a doll that children will carry everywhere and many will keep across a lifetime. A gift for my god-niece, whom I expect shall go bananas for it (yeah, I went there...).

Cute little monkey. Decently made, it could use a little more stuffing. The fabric is soft and the quality of the stitching is okay. He machine washed well, tumble dried on low. A good option for the primate enthusiast in your life.
