Great results
I bought this plus a hot plate and a few other related items for a project. I've had great results so far.One thing I did notice is that in a normal air environment, if you heat this paste too slowly, the flux will evaporate and the solder will oxidize into a useless crust and won't flow, even at temps as high as 300C. If you are having trouble with slow heating, maybe do some experiments with faster heating. If that solves the problem you may need to find an inert atmosphere or a different approach.I used this to handle the surface mount components of an led driver pcb i designed. I did a few trial components onto breadboard adapters (it was at this time i discovered the slow heating behavior described above). Then I did 16 identical led drivers. after the first one, my yield was 100%. Not even any shorted pins. Just place the pcb onto the hot place set to 240C, wait 30 seconds for the solder to melt, and take them off to cool. This stuff is wonderfully easy to use.I saved the $16 on the solder paste stencil when ordering the pcbs but after manually spudging paste onto the 3 dozen or so tiny pads 16 times i will probably want to use a stencil in the future, but even without one this method of soldering is extremely forgiving and as long as the paste is mostly in the right place and not too thick it will come out fine.

It does what it says. Great for quick hitter solder jobs...
This paste worked as described. It's perfect for those quick hit solder jobs. A little paste, a couple passes with a torch lighter and just like the full on soldering iron job you'd do. It is a little pricey, but I'm willing to pay for stuff that works. The only downfall is I wish I had found this sooner. Once I run out, I'll definitely buy again.

Expiration date in 3 months and 29 days
I like the paste, this just came with a shorter life span than previous purchases (from electrical supply stores).

Got a bad batch
I have used this solder paste many times with good results. I recently received a batch that will not reflow, no matter what temperature profile. Even with an iron, I can't get it to melt. The paste was also a very different consistency than normal. I believe I received a bad batch of paste.

Good quality solder paste
This solder paste works well for me, and it produces good results when reflowing fine-pitch QFP parts. I recommend getting the jars (like this one) instead of the syringes because you can save any leftover paste by putting it back in the jar. The paste I received was fresh and had an expiration date 1 year in the future. I recommend refrigerating the solder paste when not using it to prolong its lifespan.
