Couldn't stop reading.
This is the first book in the brothers series. It's a sort-of continuation of the Books of Brother, time before time. However you can read this book without having read the time before times books. It's a completely different take on the period in time known as "the tribulation period" . There are a lot of twists and turns. Things that will surprise you. But always making you want to read the next page. I do not necessarily agree with the authors idea of how she thinks this period in time will happen, however it's still an excellent read. I'm getting ready to read book two. It will be interesting to see how it all comes together.

Another great book by Wendy Alec
This is the third book in the series by Wendy Alec that I have read. It is by far the easiest book to read and it is quite superb in its story line and details of characters and places in the World. The history, plot and imagination are great. This is what makes the book truly spectacular. In regards to the truth and prophecy of the book, I have faith that there is an End of Days and that Jesus will come and defeat Satan as shown in the book of Revelation in the Bible. Wendy has made an amazing comparison of spiritual, religious and Worldy politics into one story that shows the history of the Biblical scripture. I believe that God has given her his Word to release information to the people of this World so that we can understand the 'truth' or rationale behind the politics that we see everyday. We need to make sense of it all, especially when it is hidden and deceived by the evil powers of the World. It is shown clearly in this book, that the spiritual evil powers exist in human form and they are controlling the World through their plans and politics. To go through the story would take away the meaning as it is for the reader to understand each character and his role in the politics and history that is being unravelled. With additional quotes at the end of the book and some papers on the deceit of government from the Cuban missile crisis in the 1960s, this book shows tactics of evil and their mindset against the good. From black ops, to false flags, to conspiracies, it makes the real World more understandable and sensible. The truth is out there. Just look for it. This book is a credit to life. It is a credit to God and his mysterious works for the love of his people. It is shown here in this book. A great work again.

Wonderful imagery
I thoroughly enjoyed this book there were a couple of times I had to stop because at times it seemed like a boom of fact. Her blending of the book of revelation into a modern dah scene was brilliant and her use of imagery really transported you to heaven or Hell depending on the scene. Many have attempted to write novels about the end times and most come off as unbelievable thus book is not one of them. Loved if. Can't wait to read the next one.

Easy/Awsome read
Reading Wendy Alec's books is like eating at an all you can eat buffet. Once I start, I can't put it down, I devour it. All of her books are incredible. They draw you in with the story line & it is like you are right there next to the main characters as the events are unfolding. HIGHLY recommend.

Soooo Gooood!
It must be said: Best Novel Ever. There, I said it. Having read this book 3 times already, I am thrilled to FINALLY have it on my Kindle! If you loved the first book, The Fall of Lucifer--heck, even if you hated it--you'll love this one. The slow, brooding evil that was felt throughout 'Fall' is amplified here. In this story, instead of angels, we have 3 earthly brothers that mirror the heavenly ones, but unlike the first book, all of the human brothers are imperfect, and (you guessed it) one of them is the Antichrist. Even though it's obvious from the get-go who the Son of Perdition is, it's still an exciting journey making the discovery though the characters' eyes. The way that Wendy Alec weaves her "faction" story together is nothing short of magical. It's biblical, and any fellow Christian can see that Wendy actually understands what she's writing about. When she borrows from the Bible, you can tell there's respect for the source material.Although, if you're someone who's turned off by Christian novels, don't be afraid of this one. This is written for a general audience (I think non-Christians will enjoy the book more, actually). The characters are real and relatable, with all their imperfections glowing clear and visible. I was surprised to find that the human characters were even more interesting than the angelic ones! The ending on this one is a perfect teaser for the next installment -- Congratulations, Wendy; you've made me completely obsessed with getting my hands on the next book!If you hate cliffhanger endings that make you shout, "No way! No way! No way!" --stay away from this book. I happen to like those kinds of endings, which is why I was shouting.

Story that you cannot find anywhere else.
I love Wendy Alec's novels. That being said, Wendy Alec is not a very good fiction novel author. Her use of rather strange diction and word choices often leave new readers very confused. She is also overly repetitive in her descriptions. For example, she describes the beautiful scenes of heaven with very unique (and sometimes weird) adjectives, and then proceeds to use the same words to describe the same scenery a few chapters down. Her writing is clearly not very polished. That being said, this story is a story that cannot be found elsewhere. It is mind boggling and revelating. For those readers that are familiar with the biblical allegories, these books will be full of great surprises. For those readers that are reading it as a simple fiction novel, it should still be fun and engaging. I would strongly recommend these books to everyone, but not without a warning of possible discomfort at the style of her writing.

Loved it - well recommended
I loved the first two books so I don't know why it's taken me this long to read this one.I felt this book had a much darker tone than the other books. I think this was because most of the book is set in our lifetime, with events and places we can immediately connect with. This gave the events a much darker and personal theme which left me feeling a lot of trepidation of what was coming (and to come). Especially considering how these events were re-written to suggest even darker plots. Most of the story takes place on Earth so there is less time spent with the angelic/fallen. I loved seeing the ethereal side of things from the first two books, so I greatly missed that. I understood why--the events on Earth were vastly important and us not seeing them leaves us also guessing what plans are taking place. As always I love the amount of thought Wendy Alec puts into these. So many complicated stories taking place, how they each impact the events of the present and future, and the clever way she withholds information to leave you questioning the real intent.I also just love how these books make me think about faith. What faith and redemption mean, and if humanity can actually achieve it or if we're all just doomed to hell no matter what we do. I love these kind of books because they make you think. Even if all you're reading is one person's perspective, you might find something that challenges what you believe (or don't believe) in. And in these books in particular, which include the views of the angels and the fallen, I end up thinking about them too, rather than just the human perspective.

Better than I expected
I read this with quite low expectations and imagined I'd want to give up within a few chapters, but I finished it and quite enjoyed it.I think the down side is that it can be a bit wordy and goes into a lot of detail about things that don't really matter in the course of the story. It's also interesting to see what side of the rapture debate the author sides with.I suppose if you want good biblical doctrine, this is not the book for you. But if you can read it as fiction, it will while away a few hours. It holds the tension for the next book in the series.

Nearly but not quite for me
Firstly I should state that I read the series of books as fiction based on biblical evidence which may or may not be true, - my opinion of this is not relevant to my review. I am not making a judgement over those that believe Wendy Alec's books to be prophecy, - thankfully we all have different interpretations of things that we read, see and hear.Secondly I will state that to take on this subject is extremely brave not least because it will raise extreme opinions on both sides of the spectrum but also because it is itself a massive subject matter. The first 2 books in the series I enjoyed, - certainly the first book with wonderful description of heaven and Lucifer's chosen path was very interesting to read. - The second book was a good interpretation of well documented event and as such was very interesting and emotionally portrayed. BUT this 3rd book was hard going because it had 2 very distinct styles to it and flitted between the 2 with the narrative of earth and then heaven. I understand that the story had to develop in this way as it was reaching a crescendo between heaven and earth but the fact that this book took me a while to read and it is the last part of the trilogy tells me something. As an aside - by comparison the last book of the Northern Lights series was un-put-down-able. In saying that this 3rd book does have to be read and I can think of no other way of completing what is a very difficult story to tell. Up until the last page I was thinking that this was a trilogy, - it appears that there is more to tell as this book does not reach a conclusion! If you find the subject matter interesting then do go for it and read the series you will be enlightened certainly by the first 2 books. Myself it was not a 5 star series because this 3rd book did not come up to expectations, but as I said at the beginning thankfully we are all different.

Americanised
I love this book, I have the whole series in paperback. But my old eyes are happier with Kindle these days. This isn't so much a comment on the book, others have done that better than I could - enough to say that I've got this book twice over and paid full price both times. It's worth it. Really this is just a warning that unlike my hard copy this book has been Americanised. American spellings, American phrases. I was so disappointed to be sent an American version of the book. It sounds very minor, and in one way it is, but the spelling constantly irritates me. I do wish Amazon would tell us when they are about to do this. When I order from Amazon UK I expect the UK version. Moan over.

Absolutely Fantastic!
Best books I have ever read! It has given me a deeper understanding of the magnificence of the creator of the Universe, the Ancient of days, our great Father who would sacrifice His only Son just so He can have fellowship with us! How awesome, it has drawn me closer to God and to stay away from sin. It has helped reinforced the way I see the world around me... thank you so much Wendy Alec for your obedience in letting God use you
