I would give this 5 stars except for the fact that when squirrels hang on them the cable eventually comes lose from the connector that forms the hanging loop. It's easily fixed with a zip-tie. Squirrels can't chew their way into these or get the tops off (except when they fall on the ground when the cable gives way, which is just that once before you fix it with the zip-tie). These are quality for the money. All metal. Attractive. The birds love 'em. 3 year update: I never had any problems with the cable on the other feeder. 3 continuous years in the elements and in use, these feeders are still going strong except they are rusting at the bottom where the black part meets the bottom yellow part. I am buying a new one just in case one bites the dust. If I had done a better job keeping them clean, especially after a rain, they probably wouldn't have rusted. These are expensive but I think I have gotten my money's worth. Most things like this don't last more than a year.

Best bird feeder that I have. Only complaint is that when it rains or sprinkler runs it does not drain enough to keep seed from getting mushy and hard to clean out.

We and the birds love this feeder. It has a large seed capacity so black oil sunflower seed flows easily from the storage tube into the feed tray where the birds grag and go. We just ordered two more of these from Amazon so birds can dine in multiple locations around our yard.

Well built, seems sturdy. One aspect I dislike is the length of the wire rope which the lid is threaded. It should be a little longer in order for the lid to be clear of the seed container when filling the feeder. A three year update: this is a very sturdy feeder. I have a plethora of marauding squirrels who have had their way with this more than I can count. It is very beat up, dented, and mangled, but the birds still use it, sometimes 6 at a time! The squirrels do too🤬 The squirrels learned to spin it throwing the seed out of the tray. Lastly, they were spinning the feeder and unscrewed it from the lid. I put a zip tie through the crossbar loop, the hanger loop, and wrapped around the crossbar to at least inhibit this activity.🤞

I have used a couple of other feeders, but I love this birdfeeder so much I bought a second one after using the first for a while. I have them both up and the first looks no older than the second one I bought later. The feeder holds a good amount of food, allows a good number/variety of birds to feed simultaneously, it’s easy to clean, and holds up to weathering and bird/squirrel activity without its appearance becoming blemished. Highly recommended!

This is our second purchase of this particular bird feeder. We like it a lot, mostly because the birds love it. The first one broke when a squirrel jumped on it and cracked the post that runs up through the feeder just under the cap/top. We thought it was a fluke so I bought a second one. It was up for only a week and a squirrel landed on it and broke the inner post again - in the same place. Without the post, the feeder won't hang. We're debating whether the metal rod could be soldered back together again or not with a soldering iron. My husband thinks not - that the weight of the feeder when full - if a squirrel makes a jump at it again, would break it again. Too bad because it's a really nice feeder otherwise. I think we are going to have to send it back as we've now paid for two of these and they both broke in the same place. They were hung from tree branches quite a distance from where squirrels could reach them but apparently not far enough away.

Great feeder when filled with Nyjer seed. Has better closing mechanism than simple draw string. Nylon mesh is somewhat heavier than other finch feeder bags I have tried so I would anticipate more than one season of use. Bags were hung near an evergreen tree and used by gold finches, house finches, and 2 small woodpeckers with in an hour. A very good price for two bags.

I bought this one to replace the same one that lasted me many years. Not squirrel proof but very resistant and the birds love it !

Perfect size, tight drawstring, works great. Last year I used an open feeder and the birds ate all of the seed in no time flat. Had to keep refilling and spending megabucks on nyjer seed. This sock attracts the birds but stops the "feeding frenzy". Very happy with the purchase.
