Second pair of William Painter, won’t be the last!
I live in Denver and enjoy a lot of outdoor activities and if there’s anything this state is known for it’s sunny days spent in high elevation! For that reason in the past, I’ve opted for sportier polarized brands such as Oakley to protect my baby blues. Unfortunately for me, those frames tend to be on the sportier side and I prefer a sleeker aviator style.Well! I found the holy grail! The William Painter Hughes are attractive and trendy - yet durable and polarized enough to wear on 14ers. The use of titanium for the frames is incredible because it keeps them lightweight and strong. These have also been my go-to during COVID-19 because the temples are sleek enough so that they don’t hurt the tops of my ears while wearing a mask and the bridge sits comfortably high enough on my nose that the lenses don’t fog. Total advantage! Highly recommend.

LOVE THESE!
OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these! First off we ordered these and the Titanium Wayfarer and these together and the shipping was SUPER fast! Then I just love these glasses, they are kind of a mustard - yellowish metal so I just love the color! They are also a great size they aren't the BIGGEST Aviator style but they aren't that weird small style either! Again I just love them! They are also light-weight which is a huge plus because they don't make your face sweat when it's hot outside!

Nose pads won't stay attached
I bought a pair of the Huges aviators with titanium polarized lenses. The lenses are on a par with other quality sunglasses. They are not more and no less prone to scratching. I need hard safety glass lenses, but nobody offers them. My biggest source of irritation with these has been the nose pads. For some reason they keep working loose, flopping around and eventually falling off. I bought some aftermarket nose pads and keep pinching them on the mounts, but they never stay long. None of the aftermarket ones I've found exactly match the mounting points on the Hughes frames. I've written Painter asking if they'll sell me some better fitting nose pieces but haven't heard back. If I'm going to keep replacing them, I'd like to have softer, more comfortable silicone ones instead of the hard plastic.

Really enjoyed purchasing from William Painter
Really enjoyed purchasing from William Painter. Sun glasses fit amazingly and are very durable. I have had cheap and expensive sunglasses before and I have never been so happy with a set of sunglasses. Go get you a pair and you'll see what I mean! I did contact the seller because I had a few questions and my questions were answered promptly. Will be ordering from WP again. thank you for making a wonderful product!!

Great sunglasses, with caveats.
I will say the quality of both frames & lenses is really nice. They feel above average in durability, weight, & balance. I purchased the gold polarized ones. Arrived gift boxed with hard case & cleaning cloth. I returned them for two reasons. 1) over the bridge of the nose there is a extra piece of metal that looks to be tacked on like an after thought. As soon as I tried them on & looked in the mirror, it grabbed my attention & looked distracting. I'm sure they added this to strengthen the frames, but it looked tacky to me. 2) even with the nose piece, I would have kept the gold frames if they were a lighter, brushed true-gold color. Instead, they look like a brushed copper color. Even in the photographs I took myself, the color in photo is much lighter than the actual frames in real life. So the "gold" frames were too brassy looking in my opinion. I think a brushed silver or matte gunmetal would have worked, but that was not an option at time of purchase.**Updated my review to 4 stars. Even though I returned the gold ones, the seller reached out to me with great customer service. I now have the black pair and I do like them, but I just wish they came with the brown lenses instead of grey. Great company though.

Great pair of sunglasses
Great pair of sunglasses. Lightweight, stylish and durable. I've enjoyed them since I received them. My only gripe would be that they can be a little tight on my nose but other than that everything is A+.

Ok... Not Great.
The skinny version: Nice sunglasses, but not really everything that WP says they are.My transaction:Seller - William PainterPrice - $185.00Shipping - FreePurchase date - May 27, 2019Details: I can say that I do like these sunglasses, and more than I like other ones too. The glasses are comfortable enough that I haven't had any problems wearing them like I have others that might end up feeling painful after extended use. They have this polarization on them that looks great when you're wearing them. It's a little funky at first because they aren't one solid shade, they fade from a darker shade at the top to a light one at the bottom. Wear them for a while and you won't notice it so much. If you want a really dark tint you should probably look elsewhere. The thing is that these cost so much money for a pair of sunglasses and I was really expecting something better. The frames are definitely lightweight, actually they're downright thin. A super thin metal. A few months after getting them one of the screws came out of the side. Don't know how I found it but after a quick trip to the drug store to get a repair kit I did get the screw back in fairly easily. Then despite tightening that screw as much as I felt I was comfortable with it ended up falling out again! After repairing that the glasses never held together the same way they did before. When I got them they would fold and hold together tightly. Now they're so loose that if I bend over they fall right off my shirt when I'm not wearing them. They do stay on my head just fine. I also wouldn't say these are indestructible by any means. WP has other sunglasses that are marketed as being very sturdy and are shown being stomped on and still in good condition afterwards. These don't feel like they're too sturdy at all. I could probably ruin them fairly easily if I tried. Actually the lenses have even popped out once or twice but never really broke and were easily popped back in securely. The lenses have also gotten some small scratches in them too, but only ones that you would notice if you're inspecting them in the light. As far as doing what sunglasses do is concerned these do the job well. Durability is a problem. I'm disappointed. Why I bought the product: I'm a mailman! I want good sunglasses for work that will hold up and protect my eyes from the sun and the glare, and I just like aviators.
